建议买riding mower/tractor拖拉机割草，走着割的会出人命的。lot没那么大的话（
不超过0.5 acre)，买用gas的Self-Propelled 的mower，推着不费力。微型lot的话，
据说买拖根电线的用电的mower也可以搞定。 |

1. Salesforce: Infrastructure team
地处三番，比较繁华，好吃的多，但是三番生活成本比较高，如果不是住市里，上班可
能比较麻烦？
面试时感觉公司的人十分nice，公司技术比较成熟，也比较稳定，听说工作很轻松，不
知道是不是好事
貌似没有自己的cafe，要自己解决午餐晚餐
2. VMware: team暂时未定，参与了一个propel的项目，将在一年内在两个team中
rotate，可以最后决定自己想去哪一个
地处palo alto，有一个大大的campus，感觉公司氛围非常不错，设施俱全
是一个软件公司，并不是互联网公司，做的东西都是系统级的，应该可以学到不少东西
关于package两者总数平均下来都差不多140-150k左右的样子，差别不是很大
请教各位帮忙分析下，不胜感激！ |

目前的情况:
1.offer: VMware Propel Program offer, 就是1-6个月选一个组, 7-12个月选第二个
组, 然后挑一个或去一个新的组待下来, 10月11 deadline, 包裹比标准高一些;
Coursera base较高, option很虚, 整体数学期望跟Vmware可能差不多, 10.14
deadline.
2.interview: FB电面之后第二天通知过了, 约了10月6号onsite, 感觉11号前出结果很
紧张; amazon apple都内推了还没回应; 微软 Linkedin Lab126 等都还没投; Google
去年11月份fail电面, 目前还没投.
3.身份: OPT将在10月初开始, 加之offer的deadline, 估计没有机会把大公司都投一遍了
4.刷题: Leetcode两遍多, 目测Flag级别的hard题或新题仍然很有困难, 但也想试

Judging from my brief test drive, Roomba did a decent job. Of course it won't
match my 12A self-propelling Hoover in term of sucking power, I suppose it
would work just fine for reasonably clean rooms.
Supposely it adjusts according to either on carpet or hard floor intelligently.
Yeah I just found out R2 can dance too, Roomba obviously can not.

2. honda >> toro > yard mchine (homedepot carries these, sorted
by price).
3. I found yard machine is good enough, although no reliability
data available now since I only used for about 6 months.
4. if your yard is very level and/or very small (seems it is)
and/or you consider mowing your lawn as an exercise, then buy
a regular one; otherwise, definitely consider the models that
self-propel. |

BAG, FRONT PROPELL的那种割草机, 贼沉(我是MM). 割完后,就象给草地剃了个坑坑娃

买了几个月的房子了，估计也快开始割第一次草了。 |

发帖数: 631 | 40 天气暖和了，终于在sears买了后轮驱动craftman self-propel的割草机，幸好买了自走型的，否则真得累趴下。lot size 8000sf，割了2个小时才割了80%的样子，gas没加够没油了。好处是这种割草机有点类似吸尘器，把草地里的树叶杂草统统打碎吸到后面的袋子里面，不用去耙树叶了。
从去年10月底搬进来，又过了一整个冬天的黄草，割起来灰尘太大，后来不行戴了口罩。
问题一：后面那个装杂草的袋子每割一会就得倒掉，不得不熄火，两个小时割草期间至少熄火打火了30次，这种频繁打火对机器有损害吗？
问题二：大家是不是都得不停的去倒装满杂草的袋子？用大垃圾袋装满后让垃圾车运走还是放在院子角落里当农肥？
问题三：每次割草完都要清洗割草机吗？我们那款割草机上有个hose进口，可以自动水洗，是不是用完每次都得洗？
问题四：看了一下，割草机用的是像风扇那种金属大叶轮割草的，草里面或者过道上难免有石子，我们家后院还有些地方是鹅卵石，难道不怕把叶轮打坏吗？两块草地见有水泥地是不是要先熄火再推过去，否则不会打到水泥地上？
问题五：前后轮子都能调节高度，我们设定为3，一般大家设定为多高？

太忙了，其实没怎么用。我不在的时候爱人都是雇人割。
前几天准备用一下，一开始还能启动，
割了半院子后，再启动就光冒烟打喷嚏，启动不了了。
Craigslist问了一句，有人问我是不是 leave gas in it while in storage
被他问中了，割草机放那儿半年多了没用，汽油没清空。于是，那人又说
It will gum up the carburetor, if so you'll need to clean it out and put a
rebuilt kit in it.
这就没太懂了，貌似是我自己搞不定的了，有人知道该怎么处理么? 多谢了。 |
