明显沾光。作为现在在加州没有房产并且租房开支较低的，或者刚刚买进房产的，目前

一是property tax，这个是按地收的，很少，地比较大的房子也才一千多的税
还有一个是school tax，这个很高，一般是property tax的五六倍，象我以前住的房子
，半亩地，最后交的是七千多的school tax，一千多的property tax
然后就有两类房子，一般是普通的，两税全要交
还有一类是55+社区，只交property tax，不交school tax，然后你不能有上学的小孩
所以在哪些州，普通的人等小孩毕业后，一般都是把房子卖掉，然后搬到55+的社区住
，每个区，不管好区差区，都会有这种55+的社区，这样等你老了后，可以把房子变成
钱，然后花很少的钱买一个新房，住在相同的区不用搬太远
他们卖掉的大房子，可以让更需要的人来住，不会造成两老人住几千尺的房子浪费
房子换手多，维护也会好很多，象加州这边哪些好区里年老失修的房子很难看到
再看看prop 13下的加州， 对老人来说，如果不想搬太远，就不可能卖房子
因为他卖了买不起，买得起也交不起新房子的税，只有住在现在的房子里
造成大量年老失修的房子和一两百万的新房混在一起

个原先做market making的韩国人。我觉得主要区别在于：
那个韩国人做option market making的，好像叫什么scalping/volatility arbitrage
，trader的工作就是用一些工具fit volatility curve，好像策略是buy volatility,
sell volatility...具体就是有个volatility curve，如果有个option在curve上面就
卖，如果有个option在curve下面就卖，然后还要反向操作对应的future去hedge，但每
次还是有10 cents左右的利润，然后乘以一些系数就是赚的钱。反正买卖的时点都是很
确定的，系统自动程度很高，trader手动做的部分就是当系统漏了一些option的时候手
动去买；quant的工作就是搞模型算volatility，其实我还是不大明白quant跟trader的
工作具体有什么不同；那个韩国人是IT，他负责测试策略和遍交易系统，他们公司大概

Prop 8 的判决倒是有很多种可能, 但broad ruling的可能几乎为零. 庭辩之后学习了
不少评论, 我觉得最大的可能是以上诉方缺乏standing为由dismiss. 这样, 下级法院
的判决依然有效, Prop 8被推翻, 但只限于加州.

Proposition 64：投Yes的合法，投NO的反对合法化。目前全国已有四个州和DC实现大
麻合法化，加州目前只是药用大麻合法。广播里谈到的了一些重要信息：
1. 大麻合法化提案的初衷是基于：过去虽然在加州娱乐大麻不合法，但是照旧被滥用
，所以不如干脆合法化，如此一来该嗑的继续嗑药，还可以名正言顺的对销售和种植大
麻课税。（大致意思）
2. 该提案得到加州民主党和副州长纽森支持，另外还有加州大麻工业联盟。反对者包
括加州共和党，加州高速巡警联盟等。
3. 提案将学校附近禁售大麻的最短距离降至了600英尺（以前有过没通过的提案提的好
像是1000英尺）

问题是政府后来靠加income tax和sales tax来增加收入。
我觉得Prop 13是限制财政收入的一个因素，但并不是deficit的根源。 |

I actually got a useful hint from the opponent arguments, "On August 5,
2010, a Superior Court judge ruled that Prop 25 did not maintain the
2/3rds requirement to raise taxes, but the Superior Court's decision was
reversed by the California 3rd District Court of Appeals on August 9,
2010, allowing the ballot language to remain intact." It seems the 2/3
majority requirement for tax increase is for real.

Prop 24 is meant to repeal a tax break.
Why should they enjoy any tax breaks?
Many high tech companies are enjoying record profits, sitting on boatloads
of cash.
They are doing very well in this recession.
House prices in upper middle class areas have not come down, compared with
national average. The economy in bay area is in fact in a fine condition,

1. 对退休，贫困的居民，可以给优惠，他们不至于立刻被迫卖房
2. 对房价估值过低的房子，可以提高每年估价升值的上限2%到例如10%
如此不会对居民造成太大变动及压力
3. 取消prop 13 对豪宅（例如，200万以上，尤其是 trust 拥有的房产）
和商业建筑的优惠
