rt。我连吃了3张，付了1张。今早实在是太背，我都到了，垃圾车来了，结果ticket就
在上面了。严格说来，我没阻碍扫街，street cleaning.3张，差不多210刀了。我付了
1张，其余2张想拖延时间，给protest，然后hearing，看警察／出citation的不来，我
是不是就可以和超速罚单一样给逃掉呢？
还有，我有一次刚出门，上taxi bus only道，就被警察开了一张，这种多少钱？也可
以上庭撞运气么？ |

房产税怎么算出来的？
是基于assessed value, not market value
assessed value怎么来的，每一个地区行政单位，比如county，每年应该有一个index
指数，可以从market value换算过来的。这样做的目的是防止价格波动造成不公平的房
产税。说白了就是把大伙的房价都折算到同一年的价格去收税。
你去年买了房子，那么交易价格就是market value。你所要做的事，就是查清楚去年你
所在地的index指数，自己算一下assessed value.再跟房产税帐单上政府认为的
assessed value做个比较。如果帐单上的assessed value高，就可以去appeal。
我appeal过两次，一次是刚买房，一次是邻居便宜卖房后，都成功了。我还指导了一个
同事去appeal，也成功了。
很多老美对此都不了解，认为要律师才行。其实很容易的，只要你算清楚了有把握。申
请appeal后会由当地的官员为你搞个hearing，几个小公务员坐在那。你把你算的数字

取 50% 的费用, 若没要回钱则不收费.
问题是 protest property 是可以免税的. 也就是说假设拿回了 $1000,
考滤到给省下的钱付的税 (假设是 25%), 你在省下的property tax 中共付了 75%, 自
己实际上只拿回了 $250(税后), 这和不通过公司自己直接去打关司可省下 $750(税后)
差的也太远了. 实际你在税后的钱中支付了 66.6% 给公司.
只是想说明公司实际收取的费用比他们说的 50% 又高了不少, 大家可以看看这个逻辑

. Most of us didn't know each other.
Generally speaking it was a very peaceful protest, I did not notice any
unfriendly reaction from CNN or pedestrians or police. A lot of people
appeared curios and took pictures of us. Some talked to us or even praised
us. Some (black, white, yellow) even joined us. Some recommended FOX to us.
