带了参数就报错：

跟以前不一样的是，装了ghostscripts以后没有ps2pdf编译器，
所以从网上下了个latex-ps-pdf.tco,import以后就可以出现latex--ps--pdf
选项了，但编译后发现以前的vector图变的很模糊，子体也没以前清楚，
因为没有动*.eps,应该是设置或软件编译的问题，大俠给分析一下，thanks! |

1. 文章包含有dia生成的eps，argouml生成的eps，edraw画的流程图通过gimp转成的
eps
2. latex和dvi2ps编译得到ps文件。
3.1 ps2pdf或者dvipdfm得到的pdf结果显示dia和argouml的eps都很好，gimp过来的有
一点模糊，不过gimp本身看还是很清楚的。
3.2 用acrobat distiller得到的pdf发现gimp过来的eps效果非常清晰，本来丰富的图
形没有几个，当然想能显示清楚一点，这种情况下dia的也没问题，反而argouml的UML
图文字都错位了。
纠结啊，顾此失彼。 |

发现用dvipdfmx 产生的pdf文件是3.1M
用dvips >ps2pdf 产生的pdf文件只有682K
但这个682K的pdf好像没有嵌入字体，因为在我的本子上字体显示跟在其他但脑上不同。
想必是因为dvipdfmx嵌入了字体导致文件巨大？
大家都用哪一种编译方式？ |

xdvi -paper usr file.dvi
(DVI files don't have information about page size, so need to tell xdvi)
dvips -t landscape file.dvi
ps2pdf file.ps
The resulting file.pdf looks okay in Acrobat Reader.
On Linux dvi2pdf actually runs dvips without the "-t landscape"
in the background, then runs ps2pdf, so the page orientation is
wrong too.

出来的pdf幻灯片右手的页码总是少一两个数字，感觉是右边的margin有问题，可是在
option中设了页面为letter后还是出现同样现象。我仔细看了ps文件，margin没有问题
。所以问题应该出现在ps2pdf这一步。请问诸位是否有高招？谢谢。 |

我们学校的模板里在\hypersetup里写了pdfborder = {0 0 112.0}，同时注明了ps2pdf
会*0.009，但是texniccenter默认的latex->PDF编译不用ps2pdf...所以边框宽度112自
然就黑掉了。多谢指点。
另外请教个问题：用bibtex，怎样能在正文的引用中只写一个序号，然后在最后的
reference里author前面加上序号？例如：
正文部分：
the previous work of xxx is good.[12]
reference部分：
[12]xxx, et al, Some Work, Some journal... |

主要问题是winEdt调用的语句有问题。例如ps2pdf 中的option指定 “xx=xxx" 在
windos下调用要
改为 "xx#xxx"。 我在linux下调含ps2pdf脚本也出过这个错误。发现脚本不是unix换
行符。

附件1是texify生成dvi, 然后dvi2ps、ps2pdf生成的pdf。可以看到references里面的
一些link有问题。（尽管我已经用了\usepackage[breaklinks]{hyperref}）
附件2是pdftexify直接生成的pdf (code 一摸一样)，没有问题。
我的问题是：
1。 为什么两种方法得到的pdf不一样
2。 经常有些时候pdftexify好用，但是texify就不好用 （我用beamer的时候也是）
（我之所以不喜欢直接用pdftexify是因为我有很多图都是eps格式）
哪位大侠给解释一下。

dEPSCrop 认不出来。我把它移到前面的preamble就好了。没有深究，也不知到是不是
你碰到的问题。
如果是的话，你写个简单的python程序把boundingbox那一行移到前面去就好了。 |

印成PS文件岂不方便，还剩的装PDF打印机软件。
一般人都人文windows不支持PS，其实只对一半。windows自身是装上自带的打印驱动程
序以后可以把任何能打印的东西存成PS或者EPS文件，只是没法显示。 |

drivers.
i guess that is because hp is not consistent with ps
standards (or ghostview is not). adobe drivers are
compatible with ghostview. and i can use ps2pdf to convert

Here is the simple way.
In Windows, print the doc to file using a postscript printer
driver. HP Color LaserJet 5/5M is good, for example. Then
modify the extension of the printed file name to .ps. Upload
to a linux machine, use ps2pdf to convert it into .pdf. Or open
the .ps file in Aladdin Ghostview and you can convert ps to pdf
using File->Convert, choose pdfwrite in "Device:". |

PDF writer sometimes do have wired prob with word.
Undre such circumstances, i would just install a Post Script
supported printer driver (could be any brand or type), print
the doc to a print file (.prn), change extendion to (.ps).
Then use ps2pdf to convert it to pdf.
Every time eventually i can make it this way. |

link to it, so yap invokes either a built-in or an external
PS interpreter to disply the actual EPS file. The problem is
likely occurring when you run dvipdf or dvips-ps2pdf, but I
have never seen anything like this happen with teTeX on
Linux. I don't think it has anything to do with winedt.
Are you using MikTeX or some other (La)TeX distribution? |

而且ACROBAT READER用里面的命令也打不开.

The conference asks authers to embed all fonts in the final pdf file. But when
I use MikTex or other Latex software to do:
latex => dvips => ps2pdf
the fonts Times-* Helvetica* were never embedded in the pdf. And after long
searching on the internet, I am convenienced that Adobe Distiller and dvips
will not embed these fonts because they are basic fonts that do not need to
be embedded.
However, the conference checking software would not let the pdf pass the check

it's weird. in the .eps it says that the bounding box is from 0 0 to 433
278. then i used
ps2pdf -g 433x278 in.eps out.pdf
and the size is wrong.
when tried
ps2psf -g 4330x2780 in.eps out.pdf
everything is perfect.
