dividend. Stock risk is much higher than CD. 33% down in bear market can
wipe out the whole 50% gain in the bull market. We are talking about a 5
year mature bull market whose the p/e ratio is already higher than normal
because of QE. We'll see how soon this bubble will finally burst.

the stock investment can still win against risk free assets within a market
cycle as illustrated here. Apparently, one should be cautious now, as well
as in mid-2008, when a lot more could be made if one is valuation conscious
and patient. |

struggle at the top in PIMCO? Just like XOM, MSFT, and about any sucessful
organizations? Bottomline, highly performing organizations are not church

So, not that difficult to get.
Bill was and still is a great bond manager, but he recently becomes more of
a financial personality than a money manager, which annoys me. Plus, Bill
manages $1T, give or take, that is a concern. |

CD bought at May 2008 when the S&P 500 was 1400. If you put it in a tax
deferred account, 45% total return when it mature at 2015. S&P 500 return is
up 32% until now, need up another 10% to May 2015, for the index above 2000
just break even with my CD investment.
The problem is current CD rate is low. So individual bonds, especially 5-10
year lower investment grade municipal bond with AGM/MBIA or even AMBAC

have VBMPX, but I do not want to be in treasury at this time so I use IRA to
carry the bond load. We also lack a dedicated EM fund in our 401k, since we
want to overweight EM and especially Asian EM, so the lack of it in 401k
creates a headache for us.
VTI has 0.05% ER if you want Total US market, PTTRX can be bought for $25K
in VG brokerage and $1K at Wells Fargo IRA, VWNAX is admiral class, $50K,

proceeding went to a math PhD dropout and art collector ... while stay put
in Dan Ivascyn's funds. Should have done it long time ago, always not sure
if anyone can manage a fund with more than $200B. Bill's ouster sealed the
deal for me.
Considering to direct some cash to Bill's fund at Janus sometime in the
coming months. |

negative stories only broke out earlier this year. Frankly I did not miss Mo
, he is a very smart guy obviously, but his MM track record is dismal. I
happen to think often times a great organization is lead by a driven and
visionary A-hole, so I did not consider Mo's resignation as negative, great
organizations most time are not church chores.
I'd agree right now PIMCO as a company will be better off without Bill than
