without any detailed information, all we have right now is a negative MRI of
the brain, negative MRI of the spinal cord(cervical? or the whole spine?),
and his symptoms started with bilateral legs weakness not too long ago but
now is ascending to his arms/hands,
if he has diminished reflex, then i would think he needs a lumbar puncture
to rule out GBS, guillain barre syndrome is a progressive symmetrical muscle
weakness most often starts form legs |

Here is my thoughts:
Her Alpha fetoprotein is normal. it is often elevated in non-seminona germ
cell tumors.
I still recommend CT scan, serum LDH and biopsy to get path to stop the
guessing games. Is lumbar puncture safe?
Also consider dexamethasone because she might have brain edema.

biopsy can be done but is strongly discouraged because these tumors are
highly vascular and debulking doesn't improve outcome, ie, risk outweighs
potential benefit.
lumbar puncture: it depends on whether she has CSF blockage and if yes,
where the blockage is.
dexamethasone is routinely given if brain edema is suspected. it is also
routinely given during radiation and in some cases chemotherapy.

I suggest you read something about multiple sclerosis, including patients'
own accounts of their symptoms. Be prepared that on her first visit to a
neurologist, a lumbar puncture is very likely to be done. Protein analysis

题是一定要找经验丰富的大夫做，不要让实习医生做，主要是找好位置需要经验，年轻
医生经验不足，扎几次也不一定找的对位置，娃娃白白受那罪。至于是否做，建议还是
让医生决定，脑膜炎后果可大可小，症状也不是那么单一，娃娃耽搁不起。lumber
puncture属于门诊的常规检查，不要担心。排除脑膜炎更重要。还有一点，穿刺好像只
能在抗生素治疗之前或者刚开始的时候立刻做，否则容易误诊。你女儿如果已经开始抗

layers with silicon adhesive in between. Just make sure the installer
wrap
the liner around all edges and up the wall a little bit. Remember you

be putting a thick mortar layer on top of the liner, then tiles, so
