我的情况是这样的，我所在的Town，Assessment是按照100% Market Value, Property
Tax and School Tax都是按照Assesment来估算.
去年8月买房，购价是Assessment的78%。我的房子是整条街上中等大小，但Assessment
几乎是最高的。我的房子的purchase price和整条街上的所有房子中Assessment最低的
那几栋相当，也就是说在不景气的房市下，我以比较低的价格买到了房子，但购买后没
有对房子的任何结构进行维修、改建（连地毯都没换）。按照原本的Assessment，每年
的税要5K-6K。如果按照purshase price，每年的税在3K-4K。
在年初的时候，申请调整Assessment，要求把Assessment调整到purchase price,并列
举了临近街道上类似但Assessment明显比我的房子低的几处房产。结果在五月初收到通

是这样的，我仔细看了一下，是Employee Stock Option我报的时候方法不对。
我的Stock Option 2007年是cashless exercise 的, 在W2上：
Item 14 ISO D 3060
Broker报给IRS的1099B上面summary table:
Line 2 17000
Line 4 0
然后后面付了两页detail:
Detail of 1099 Information: Total Sales 17000
Detail of Nonreportable Information: Purshase cost 14300, Debt Interest:30
我报的时候确实犯了错误。因为是cashless，所有收入(gain）都在W-2的Item 14上了
。所以，我就没有在Schedule D上面填这个1099B
今天收到的IRS通知：说我:
Mismatch of income on 1099B:17000
