发帖数: 1371 | 4 最近一个周末，伙同一群人去了Maroon Bells附近，一方面是为了大多人数看黄叶，另
一方面是我们少数几个爬山。
我们爬山的目标是Pyramid Peak。它和Maroon Bells隔着山谷相对，高度刚好1万4千尺
出头，比North Maroon Peak高一点点，比Maroon Peak矮。在主要的观光景点Maroon
Lake却看不到此山，不过在Maroon Creek Road上的一些地方，倒是可以看到Pyramid山
峰的北侧。下面是从网上找的一张照片。
去年爬N Maroon的时候，大部分时候也是正对着Pyramid（西侧）。
于是今年就早早定好计划，一个多月前就订了Maroon Bell景区里面的camping site，
既方便看黄叶，同时也方便爬山。这个camping site虽然有点点宰人（15刀加9刀网上
预定费再加5刀停车费，倒是免了门票），不过帐篷搭在黄色的aspen树丛中，还是有一
点点情调的。
第二天一早，我们几个爬山的4点钟就起来，5点过到了Maroon Lake的停车场，这时停

上回说到，Elk Range那几个老大难都还没碰过，话音刚落,机会就来了。几个跟我一样
只有找到有人垫背才敢尝试的WSN凑在一起,组队浩浩荡荡杀奔Aspen而去。为此专门请
了一周假,因为这几个山头的碎石是出了名的,在那儿挂掉的都不是因为摔,而是被别人
踩下来的飞石击中。周间爬山的人少,相对安全些。
行程如下:
周一,开到Aspen，午饭后到Maroon Lake TH,背着包包走到Crater Lake扎营
周二,从South Ridge上Maroon Peak
周三,从Northeast Ridge上North Maroon Peak
周四,从Northeast Ridge上Pyramid Peak
周五,睡个懒觉,收拾东西,慢悠悠地回到Maroon Lake TH，散伙回家。
Maroon Lake TH到Crater Lake只有一迈多一点,上升不到一千尺。Crater Lake的高度

最近比较focus on money management，尤其是position sizing。
这里绝大部分都是跟我一样的beginner，基本上很看重入点，什么时候买最好。我转到
期货和外汇以后在这上面下了挺大的功夫，并没有达到原先预想的效果（包括SVM，
Linear，Non-Linear，Wavelets，HONN, Kalman Filter，这些可能以后会有一定的突
破，但现有的概念和理论，实践起来的效果并不会提高多少，甚至没有提高，所以投入
产出比不佳），加上我一年多几千次浅显的交易经验给我的感觉是，入点远没有想象的
重要。50%的正确率够不够？我感觉远大于盈利的需求。

Pyramid Lake地处Reno东北的Nevada沙漠，属印第安人保护区，那里以钓cutthroat trout闻名，用花铁勺子做饵，用梯子岸钓是其主要特色。我这次去没带杆子，在岸边看了20分钟，看到他们钓上来3条鱼，鱼不少。那个圣诞老人告诉我，他两小时钓到3条，很不错。 |

有朋友最近去四川旅游，她游记中一张稻城亚丁景区仙乃日山照片强烈吸引了我的注意
，和埃及金字塔和狮身人面像图片作个对比，发现他们竟然惊人的相似！My Goddess!
难不成这鬼斧神工的仙乃日山（当地藏人视其为观音菩萨）和其脚下的白度母（观音的
化身之一，源于观音的一滴眼泪）就是埃及狮身人面像和金字塔的原始模板？藏区随处
可见的玛尼堆是不是也是由此而来？
真不知道应该相信埃及金字塔是天外文明的杰作，还是应该相信埃及人的祖先来自遥远
的喜马拉雅。
这个金字塔就不必多说了，一看就明白。请参考我画的示意草图对比两张照片，你会发
现Sphinx身体的每一部分在仙乃日山上都能找到对应，甚至残缺的鼻子，左脸颊上的‘
伤痕’等等特征，还有脚趾。不觉得神奇吗？

发帖数: 379 | 41 周末一起爬Shuksan的九个人里，Vineeth、Sean和我都是去年同一个周末被从Shuksan
的trailhead一路浇到high camp，再一路浇回来的难友，不过今年这个周末的天气预报
看起来不错。星期六踩着八点钟ranger station开门的点去领permit，还有一个4个日
本人的队伍和我们差不多时候到。现在Shuksan的permit有限制了，一次只发6个group
，还是所有线路合在一起算的，这个周末的所有permit都已经被预订了，不过有两个的
还没来取，ranger让我们等等，说打电话帮我们问问。等了有半个多小时吧，都在商量
改走Baker的Boulder了，ranger告知那两个group都出了点问题来不了了，于是我们和
那个日本人的队伍一队领了一个permit，皆大欢喜。
大概十点半从trailhead出发的。很小的parking lot，车子都停满了，别看地方很偏，
还真有ranger专门来检查parking permit的... 四面全是云啊，低低的包围着，什么都
看不到，又让我们联想起去年的悲惨经历，NOAA真是越来越不乖了:-( 一开始1.5

week of vacation time that I could use to climb but nobody to climb with, so
I got this crazy idea of solo climbing all 14ers in Elk range in Colorado.
Day 1: Castle
An easy peak and a good warm up hike for me so I could get a chance to
