is kinda cheap considering he was from the prestigious program. If he used
the qinghua-jichu program as a quick track to gain his personal wellfare,he
abused the resources and expectations of ordinary Chinese people (who pay
the program) and the founders of the program (who thought high of those
young people with talents).

his father in law is rich, already bought a 2 bedroom condo(RMB 2,400,000 in
Jan 2009) for him, so his life is OK, if you don't have money, how you get
2 bedroom condo by yourself if your salary is 5000/month?
I don't believe 5000/month is better, I believe it is very miserable life in
Beijing, if you have a little bitter knowledge. |

professors at top 2 universities is correct.
e.g. Tsinghua University Full Professor Tao QingHua was a Postdoc at
Cincinnati Children's Hospital right before returning. |

要是用非学霸标准衡量，这几个人算是很出色了。wang手下出来独立的人很多，骆利群
那儿出来的中国人不是很多，但是外国人挺多的（他实验室本来中国人就不是太多）；
Shi出来的中国人也还可以，而且被他提携的海归很不少。rao稍微少一点，他那里本来
就没出过很好的postdoc阿。
plus 要说小薇mm和谢晓亮那里出来的人还是不少的

UTSW并没有postdoc必须离校去其它institutes进行tenure track的规定，无数UTSW的
postdoc都直接留校做faculty了，比如Tom Sudhof, Jose Rizo-Rey, Benjamin Tu,
Rick Bruick, Qinghua Liu, 等等这些人都是如此。
两老头手下直接留校的更多，整个Molecular Genetics dept的faculty大都是俩老头过
去二三十年的postdoc，比如Russell DeBose-Boyd, Jin Ye这些人。我实在不理解当年
两老头如果真想留王晓东，还需要什么样的“走过场”？明明就是一开始没看好他。 |

~20 years ago, we mainland Chinese pay high respect to Hongkong residents
and were very jealous; they were much richer...then they were just so so...
now we begin to look down them; how small living space they have...
I guess, overseas Chinese like us will receive similar "respect" as HK
residents. Following NIBS,SIBS, PKU, Qinghua, FDU' academic levels' rising,
while American is downturning, let's see...It is happening now...

after the incidence, now is already kind of late. And it is ridiculous to
even think of he could win any award based on his very sloppy paper. Did you
really read it, definitely try to rush and scoop Xie's group. |

In other aspect, if the field opened up by Zhang's is very important,
QingHua might need Zhang's help to refute Xie's patent claims in this area.
What the exact filling date from Xie was is very important.

was scholar at Harvard Kennedy and Stanford Hoover, and had several papers

销、滞销进行分析。目标是在得到今年第一周的销售数据之后，分析产品的畅/平/滞销
，并预测该种产品第二周的需求。
最近看了business forecasting和supply chain management的书，但对选择用什么
methods上比较迷惑。
最头痛的是：产品的需求曲线比较符合产品生命周期，没有linear的trend， 那产品生
命周期在需求预测模型中怎么量化，好像是跟trend比较相关
希望对time series forecasting有经验的人给点建议~多谢！！
