我刚读完PhD program的第一年 参加了系里的qualify 但是结果很不幸。。。
考试分成两部分 第一天为笔试 从上午到下午7个小时 第二天是口试40分钟 系里所有
的faculty轮番提问
笔试部分基本没问题 答得还不错 问题出在口试环节 系主任问了和我research完全不
相关的问题 （我们这个专业是交叉学科 老板们之间做的research相差很多 根本不一
样） 而我之前也没有上过系主任的课 因为实在是和我的research八竿子打不到一块儿
所以没答上来 但是我回答别的faculty的提问还是挺好的 特别是老板发问的我们
field里的东西 毕竟之前在美国读MS的时候有两年的research experience 也有
publication 自己觉得应该可以过了 但是最后系主任发了decision letter说我有某些
方面的knowledge gap 故而没有达到通过的标准 需要明年重考 考之前必须take他教的
那门课
本以为都已经读PhD了 主要focus on自己的research 给老板好好干活就行了（之前问
系里的师兄也说nobody car |

很好，paper也很好。。这样的明显over qualified的人我应该考虑么？挺怕弄来个自

如果是前者，说明这个学生没有很多资质，中国学生稍微努力都可以过得考试，即使勉
强过了也很难写thesis.

So, does stem OPT matter the H1-B Cap-gap extension in a way like whether A
is E-verified or not?? Or Stem extended OPT cannot extended anymore, sth
like that?
Am I still qualify for cap-gap extension?
I am employed for company B until next year the new company A file h1-B for
me.

是个小本可以干的活，当然了工资也就是小本水平，我现在手里有master申请的时候
manager对技术上比较满意，但是可以从president眼里看到对于我身份和overqualifed
的疑虑，因为boss一直强调他们是小公司（不到30人）所以他们希望不要因为钱的多少
和职位的问题而离开，他们要down-to-earth person不管你有没有学历。
我该如何打消boss招人时的这方面疑虑呢？ |

情，针对一个purchase price，注明贷款的loan amount和LTV（loan to value的比值
）。
没银行规定必须要贷多少钱以上的，是比较奇怪。 |
