发帖数: 3427 | 27 原来的driveway和房子的门之间有条倾斜的荒草地，进出不太方便，借鉴了许多邻居的
房子有阶梯的，觉得非常方便。于是便想自己动手搭楼梯。
有了想法，就开始猛看资料和材料，看正规的建筑公司如何做，视频等等，google有很
多资料。
砖头的，石材的，木头的，想来想去，还是决定采用传统用砖头搭架子，混泥土浇灌，
水泥切面。
动手买材料，跑到HOME DEPOT，买了混泥土，水泥，都是premix的，just add water，
非常方便，简单易学。只是里面种类非常多，需要仔细咨询，针对各种不同的用途都有
相应的产品。
本来要再HD买砖头的，可是觉得HD的砖头厚度不够，找个小二咨询有没有专门做阶梯的
砖头，得到了一个惊喜的消息-------可以到采石场看看。
于是来到quarry，这里面各种大小规格，材质的石材都有，而且比HD便宜很多。比HD砖
厚1.5倍的砖头，只要HD砖头一半的价格，真是便宜量又足！
里面各种garden，landscape用的大小石料，沙土都很便宜，以后不用到HD了。
材料准备好了，开始动工的时候，惊喜又来了。

理得有些乱，snack只给2，3片饼干，连牛奶都没有，费用还一个星期400多，pass了。
Bernal的那家小花很好，井然有序，应该是不错的。听说Quarry Lane很好，学费稍贵
一点，不过我没去看，还有一个双语的蒙校也不错，就是他们的menu没有猪肉没有鱼肉
只有鸡肉，有点小纠结怕小孩营养不够，好处是他们教中文，多数是中国小孩

发帖数: 349 | 33 宝宝1岁，打算送daycare了，虽然舍不得，也没办法。
先说说我考察的结果，去了headup， 看到婴儿班直接给否了。太旧太脏了。贵不说，
那个结构就是和猪圈那种。我去，挂的画好像作者都应该比我老，超级陈旧。
然后去了primrose,这个感觉不错，干净些，操场很大。交钱排队。
又去了bright horizon dublin那家，感觉也不错，就是操场小，挨着马路有点吵，没
有shade。但是离家近，交钱排队。
打算周末去Quarry Lane. 不过也做好准备了，估计没有openning。
请大家推荐一个好的family daycare，万一我爸妈走之前排不上，也可以有back up。
现在家里也请了阿姨，可是发现她很不喜欢我妈在家看着。私下发现她在找那种双职工
家庭，她可以单独带孩子在家的家庭。这样我更不敢信任她单独在家带娃。 所以在爸
妈走之前必须送幼儿园。
