Since launch, I’ve been going back and forth on Quora and it’s value to
marketers and the general public. The reality is, Quora is not a new
concept. The idea of anyone being able to answer questions online has been
around for years. Quora is certainly more elegant than its predecessors,

1. 先回答知乎上为什么支持Trump多：
两个原因吧：其一知乎上的支持者都是经历过邓公的改革开放：Trump就是典型的放弃
意识形态支持猫论，打右灯向左转（不是打左灯向右拐），以及不争论不出头闷声发展
得理论，中国人享受了30来年这样的好处，对这个再熟悉不过了。其二Trump的对立面
民主党的移民政策，处理穆斯林政策，政治正确在中国中生代高层次人才里面及其没有
市场。
Trump的实际主义参照我之前文章写的两种社会主义：超级星期二观感 - 美国民主党近
代历史风云八卦 - 知乎专栏， Trump其实完全不是一个纯粹的共和党，国内经济社会
他的理念很多偏向传统左派观点，连他自己都说自己是business man，所以一切都是
deal，不管左右的方案意识形态拿来好用就可以，所以你看到以右派共和党，确支持大
政府，搞贸易保护，对全民医疗之类并不排斥，可以说是典型什么合适自己就拿来，不

quora 也是信息检索的方式之一 和 facebook google 等相比
google 是主动查询 用算法过滤相关内容
facebook 主要是通过人际关系网过滤信息 也可以主动提问朋友圈 但是如果有你喜欢
的东西朋友不分享 就造成了信息不可达 有你想关注的人却不关注的话题 就得到无用
信息
quora 则必须要选择主题 剔除了不想关注的方面 也可以通过关系网获得关注人的活动
也有主动推送兴趣话题使朋友不分享的内容也可以看到 而且还可以在 quora 搜索
总之 这些东西都是互有优劣的 |

所以星期三之後才會通知。
等了一星期之後，昨天（週五）下午三點終於收到人資的信，信裡說：
I was wondering if you have some time next week for us to catch up. I'd like
to share the feedback from the team, as well as the next steps. I would
only need about 30 minutes of your time.
然後列出他下週所有可以的時間。
沒有透漏什麼正面或負面意思。請問有面試過Quora的各位，這看起來像是拒絕還是通
過呢？
目前是跟他約下週一中午。但這週末一直演內心戲Quora loves me, Quora loves me
not...好難熬啊。 |

个稍微中立的都没看到。甚至还有给Clinton foundation洗地的。关于中国的也是基本
上压倒性的站在土共立场。基本可以肯定Quora就是个拿钱删帖的论坛。删帖比mitbbs

就得做决定，现在package还在谈判中。
1. Google. 具体position不定，得接受offer后开始team match，据我所知以前有人被
分配到不是很喜欢的组，这是我比较犹豫的一个因素。base 135k, %15 bonus, 320
RSU / 4 years, 30K sign on, 7.5K relocation. 貌似是今年的PhD standard
package，整个package大概220K。HR说neogotiate的希望不是特别大。
2. Houzz. 做的backend engineer。第一个拿的offer，base 120k, relocation 5k,
options 100k shares/4 years, strike price $2.99/share, 2014年D轮估值$7/share
,现在应该是两位数的估值。明天跟HR谈判，package还有上升的空间。公司钱途感觉不

去Google的好处是名气大，稳定，但已经没有太大的上升空间了（对于公司和个人都是
）。相反Houzz和Quora虽然都没什么名气，但都是各自小领域的领头羊，都很有可能2-
3年内IPO或者被收购。

识你呢？是否愿意答你的问题呢？ 前期推广时，Quora 结巴了好一些大牛（多半是VC
