找了骨科医生，医生没有做任何“徒手正位”就让护士给打了石膏，然后看X光片，建
议做手术，打钉子定形。
我们谨慎的把X光片发回国内的专家朋友，请教后，朋友告知，只是很轻微的错位，根
本不用做手术，只要自然愈合就可以了。而且两个在美国医疗系统工作的朋友也建议不
要全然采纳医生建议，因为这里很小很小的伤医生都会建议做手术。
我妈妈第二次去复查（两个星期后），告诉医生不打算做手术，医生警告手可能以后的
灵活性会打折扣。基于他的描述对妈妈来说可以接受，和国内医生的建议，我们坚持不
做手术。
五个星期后去拆石膏，医生告知骨头愈合，我们都很高兴，但紧接着发现妈妈手臂错位
，两只手不对称，而且受伤的手由于骨头错位根本不能扭转。
医生坚持是因为我们不做手术导致的结果，但我们询问国内医生，国内医生认为是美国
医生没有在上石膏前就“徒手正位”导致骨头长歪了。本来是很小的一个问题，因为缺
少最基本的步骤，现在却成了大问题。
我们原本就觉得很奇怪，上石膏前，医生什么都没做，甚至连碰都没碰一下妈妈的手，

two kids, minivan is an overkill in terms of space. If you want to drive the
entire family (4 adults and two kids) out for dinner, you can either drive
two cars or fit two smaller adults to the 3rd row. If you want to drive 2000
miles for a camping vacation with a lot of luggage you should rent a AWD

a. They are all continuous curves.
1. "straight" line maintains a constant slope (rise-over-run) at any point.
2. circle maintains a constant distance (radius) to a given fixed point (
center).
3. parabola : Rate of change of the slope is constant (from left to right).
The slope at the vertex point is zero. (BTW: Slope means rise-over-run

前几天，同事问我如果知道抛物线弧长和顶点到弧顶点的长度，如何求顶点的radius.
他看了半天数学手册，发现没有解析解。
我化了一小时推了推，然后得到一个近似解。给了他，然后和他说，最简单方法就是把
抛物线近似成圆，简单算一下就成。

生活里天天充滿着美好充盈着愛。
我是達美航空公司15號班機的機組人員，2001年的9月11日從德國的法蘭克福機場飛越
大西洋，目的地是美國的亞特蘭大。
忽然，機艙內的布簾都拉了起來，我被叫到駕駛艙去見機長。在那兒，幾個機組人員都
面露嚴肅。機長給我一張紙條，這是從亞特蘭大機場辦公室發出來的訊息，上面寫著：
「所有私人航空公司飛往美國的航道全部關閉，請盡速降落在最近的機場，並請告知你
的降落目的地。」
沒有一個人對此訊息有隻字片語，我們都知道事態的嚴重性。我們需要立刻找到一個陸
地降落，機長決定最近的機場是離我們400英里遠的甘德, 紐芬蘭。
機長要求加拿大航空交通控制中心核准路線的改變，我們沒有被質疑而獲得即刻的核准
，後來我們才知道為何我們的要求毫不遲疑的被核准。
