premium whereas your potential losses can still be large. In other words,
compared with the reward, the risk is huge. It's the opposite of "cut your
losses short and let your profits run".
If you are quite sure that the stock shouldn't drop to a certain price, why
not buy the stock outright and prepare to reap the much larger gain from
your due diligence?

selling covered call could potentially reap more gain at the expiration date.
Selling cash secured put would make you at most the premium amount at the
expiration date.

The management actually reaped huge profit by colluding with MM during the
time "rare earth" concept was popular when China started to limit the
exporting quota of rare earth. I remember the stock price was over $70 about
2 years ago. After that run, it barely achieved anything the management
