Wilkins Ave shopping center，有Giant超市、中餐、披萨、Liqueurs、理发等商店和
牙医、银行等，方便购物，距离韩亚龙韩国超市和新开的大中华超市开车10分钟。社区
相对比较安全，距离UMBC警察局开车5分钟，也有一个警察住在对面，常有警车停在这
里。也常有接送儿童的小学校车就停在门前，所以也方便送小孩子上学。

To OP, why do you use the word embarrass? Look, I am an AP who has never
received any flower from a female student. This is an emotionally
embarrassing situation for me. But yours is definitely something worth
celebrating. You served on her committee, wrote her a strong rec letter,
helped her in her career. Any normal graduate student will find one way or
the other to express her gratitude.

sure what further action a student can take if the rec letter is based on
say gender/racial discrimination.
My Chinese brain can never fully appreciate this right:) I will turn down
recommendation request from bad students, but will always write strong
letters for good students. If someone doesn't waiver the right, I feel
myself not completely trusted.
