government, not on the freedom of the people.
This is a classic freedom of speech case. The cross burning case is about
whether government can regulate conduct that may be treated as a symbolic
speech. Here, there is no action, just pure speech. It may be shocking to
you, but this country values freedom of speech much more than other
countries.
