通常愿意跟你network的本身没Decision making的权利
有Decision making的权利的不愿意跟你network

有几点建议给大家：
1. 如果已经有recruiter联系你或者你已经提交了简历，我的referral不是很管用。
2. 公司对engineer有3小时的coding test, 所以大家要做好准备。
3. 请尽量多做一点题，公司不大，200号人，enginner大概50个左右，所以hiring bar
可能有点高。
4. 公司sponsor h1b, greencard。不过绿卡要你工作9个月以后才会考虑。绿卡政策个
人感觉一般，大家根据自己情况考虑。
5. 公司base一般，和zynga差不多，不过options给的比较多，然后每年基本都有
target bonus(10%左右)和额外bonus (10%左右)，这是我跟老员工交流得出来的。公司

IBM的不是所有的职位都可以refer的，所以列出要求
In GBS, all roles are eligible
In GTS, S&D, STG, SWG, all Band 8 & above are eligible
All Sales roles are eligible regardless of band
Select Band 6 & 7 roles are eligible
In CHQ all Band 8 and above are eligible
In Research selected roles may be eligible
Regardless of Business Unit, all requisitions open to an external agency are
eligible for ERBP

小弟是10届上海交通大学ME本科毕业，通过3+2项目来到Purdue University读ME
master，明年5月毕业。目前正努力找工作！
暂时面过3家公司，Cummins（终面1个月了没有消息）, Schlumberger(1轮被刷），
Halliburton（1轮后两周了没有消息），都是job fair拿到的。网投也快100家，觉得
或许找一下前辈referral比这样网投下去更有机会。
我research课题是做芯片的solder joint材料的疲劳断裂研究，现在处于实验阶段
，下学期准备做一下FEA；唯一实习经历是今年暑假去深圳Schlumberger当了一个月的
Field Engineer.
觉得自己的背景经历适合找设计制造、力学（疲劳振动）分析的工作。当然其他ME

后面的onsite有的可能是远程的，但是都是3轮technical的。

一个中国小哥，人很nice，首先介绍了一下自己的组
问了一下我之前的经历
1.给你一个array of character，包括有digits， lower case char and upper case
char， 如何才能把他们sort成所有digits在前， 所有lower case在中间， upper
case 在最后，类似于sort color from leetcode
问了complexity，并且讨论了sort之后原有的digit的顺序是否改变， 各种讨论细节
这题依照leetcode，很顺利的写了出来
2.follow-up： 如果现在输入的array 包含有多种类型的char（lower case， upper
case， float。。。）， 如何改变input， 使得我们能写出类似的代码
我给出的意见是除了原有的array of chars 之外，再给出一个array of array， 每个

先说几条onsite的tips：
1.如果宾馆离面试地点比较远，一定要早点走，弯曲的交通不是盖的
2.面试的时候用水笔写错的code不要用手擦，即使用手擦也记得不要往脸上抹，今天我
就看面
试官一直对我的大花猫脸笑
3.中午不要吃太多
第一轮国人小哥，人很nice
（1）有两个string， 比如 s1 = "abc", s2 = "cba",相同index下的字母不同，我
们叫一个difference，比如在index 0 上 s1是 a 而s2 是 c，这就是一个differnce，
而index 1 上 s1和s2都是b，则不是difference.现在只许你swap一次 S2
的两个字母，问如何才能
最大程度的减少difference， 需要return swap的两个index，比如上面的例子， 我们
swap s2的 0 和 2， 就会把s2变成 abc， 和 s1的 difference 是 0.
这题我用hashmap 做的，注意考虑difference最多只能减少1的情况

之前面试过Google（onsite）， Facebook（onsite）， Cloudera（电面），两家非热
门startup（onsite，其中一家想给我offer，但由于不是e-verify，无果）

真没有只申好公司
感觉大公司有钱有人力去面试很多candidate，相对比较好拿面试
申请小公司各种据好吗。。。
那个公司的manager跟人力资源部反复确认过了
申请e-verify是免费的，但是很麻烦。。。
