2 hours to get there. On the way we had to cross 4 bridges. The first one
wasn't very long. The second was as long as the first one. The third one was
very very long. It was so long that part of it looked like the London
Bridge. The fourth one was so short that it only took us one minute to cross

发帖数: 141625 | 40 有人记得2003年1月在I95高速Fairfield段的车祸吗，一群耶鲁棒球队和橄榄球队的学
生从纽约开车回New Haven，在结冰的路段和一辆失控的卡车拖车相撞，三个学生当场
死亡，重伤的六个学生中又有一个次日不治而亡。当时学校取消了一切体育活动，全校
默哀，管本科生的校长说白头人送黑头人尤其伤心，这些都是风华正茂的最优秀的孩子。
上周末，车祸幸存者之一的Brett Smith在学校教堂Battell Chapel做了个演讲，他刚
刚毕业。他车祸后大脑受损，跟不上耶鲁的学业，就先去一个community college读书
，慢慢恢复。08年再回耶鲁，从头读起，今年学成毕业。他家是教徒，他以前不信教，
因为他爸在空军里做，频繁搬家，所以他从没受洗过。他车祸住院时Battell Chapel的
pastor给他洗礼。他重回学校后就去学校教堂，他们让他做学生Deacon——我不知道这
是天主教还是新教，这些是什么职称。不过他的演讲挺感人的，无论教徒非教徒都挺受
益，我贴给大家看看。
