1. title: 一张纸，证明你对车的所有权。卖主卖车时在背面签名，交给你。
2. plate：就是牌照。挂车前后的那两个牌子。临时牌照是张纸贴后窗上。
（如果从私人买车，一定要拿到签玩字的title。不给title不交钱。
从私人买车不会有临时牌照。但从dealer买车的话，可能他们要
一个月后才把title寄给你，不过他们会给你两个月左右的临时牌照。）
所以不管从dealer还是私人买车，title或plate你至少有一样，
警察不会找你麻烦的。至少我们这个州，新买的车，手上有title的话，
没牌照也是允许的。
3. insurance: 网上quote。www.geico.com或者www.progressive.com ......
然后给他们打电话，问问是不是打个电话confirm就可以当天生效。
一个星期内你会收到保险公司寄来的保险卡和其他文件，有些需要签名寄回。
4. registration: 一张小纸。车买回来后，到DMV换新title时DMV给办的。

first before going to the DMV. The information will be updated to DMV
automatically. You just need to bring the title of your vehicle, the receipt
of smog test, insurance and several forms which can be downloaded from DMV
website. Plus, you can take a number from the entrance first and do the
vehicle verification before you enter the hall for the registration.
As I remember, these are all you need to bring with you.

机器停掉，没油加。有人会觉得奇怪：难道不可以自己刷卡self service吗？没错新西

，初步接触过了附近的一个dealer，他家的title clerk非常懒、笨，靠邮寄来去办遥
远的加州的手续，我真怀疑他们能否及时办妥？
1。 在伊州买了新车不办伊州的title/registration应该可以有个临时牌照上路，对吗

新车一般给临时牌照去上保险
这不知道，我当时用同学地址上了WA牌照，因为在CA我也没有地址。
不管你的排放如何，外州来的车要上加州牌照就要去做排放检测，我第一次去DMV就是
没这个白排队了
没加州牌照三藩某些地方不给办parking permit
我浪费了500多，还加上因为牌照没到手不能转换加州牌照，进而不能办parking
permit，忘了挪车被开ticket
租车吧，我当时要不是一堆行李用小trailer拉着，真该租车过来再买的。 |
