TX法律规定，车子在到TX 30天两要换registration, 人90天内要换驾照。
到了TX以后，最好要先买好TX的保险，到中国城拿一本中文黄页，多打几家问问价格，
每个agent所代理的公司都不一样，多打几家才能有最好的价格。
如果不买保险也可以，不过要注意换registration的时候，那些人可能要你先有TX的
insurance,不然不给你办。其实外州的保险也是可以的，不过很多Tax Office的人不懂
。只要保险中的Liability达到TX的要求就可以了，也就是body injury $30k per
person/60k per accident, property damage 25k/accident(即agent常说的30/60/25
，这是TX的最低要求，你的外州保险要达到这个要求才行），非TX保险一定要带上保险

卖掉后再买新车。看了New York DMV的网站关于转移 registraion 和 license plate
的步骤（原文如下）。我的问题是：
1. DMV的信息中没有提到卖掉旧车后，licence plate 可以在自己手里放多久。有时间
限制吗？还是在 registration 结束之前转移到新车就可以？
2. 在买新车时，如果我拿着旧车的 registraion 和 license plate， 是不是就不用
付TTL 里的最后两项， title 和 license，因为我自己会到DMV 去转移注册？
3. 是不是交了 Sales Tax+document fee后直接把 license plate 放到新车上就能开
走了？

好像你如果车子没registrate, 年检过期反而没事
但是如果registration还有效的时候, 年检没更新, 就会罚钱
我们前年本该七月份年检, 忘了, 人家给了宽限期到12/1号
结果LD把那份信随手一搁没在意, 非等到12/2 才去检
就受到$250的大罚单一张, 打电话要求减免, 人家说除非你能证明12/1那天你的车在修
结果我们没有熟悉的车铺好给证明, 只好老老实实叫了二百五十大刀.
后来换了个新车, DMV又改规定, 把年检的有效期挪到离registration很近的日子
(准确的说, 在registration过期后五天到期)
LD这个马大哈registration过期了整整一年都没有续, 随后年检也过期了
但是由于车子没有registrate, 过期年检一年也没收到任何通知和罚单
而且很幸运, 整整一年多开着过期的车也没被警察发现过
前一阵刚想起来把inspection做了,然后续了registration, 昨天才收到新sticker. |

of title，上面有issue date和registration expiration date的信息，但就是找不到
registration card。我记得之前旧车，每年renew registration的时候都会有
registration card连着sticker一起寄来。请问新车也有专门的registration card吗

有管我以前的registration已经过期2个多月了， 没啥罚款。DMV在乎的是你来加州多
久了， 你是不是在在规定时间内注册。
个人经验， 仅供参考。

我搬家到另外一个州，除了换驾照，换title，交当年的registration fee, 竟然还要
我交initial registration fee 200多刀。不交不行！
这个我很费解，如果这样，我搬一次家，换一个州，我的车就得重新交一次200多刀的
initial registration fee?这个也太恐怖了！我能不能向我原来的州要回这笔intial
registration fee？不能到一个州就交一个州的钱呀？
为什么要交换title fee? 这也是90刀呢。

于是去DMV网站上有给registration改地址的 登进去一看 里面已经是我现在的新地址
了 然后还是更新了一下 最后跟我说
An updated registration card will not be sent out, however your card is
valid for the current registration period.
我现在的registration还是旧地址 按上面的说法 是不就没事儿了 |

Dealer charged me ($150) four month registration fee starting from the day I
bought the car, meanwhile I got annual renewal registration notice $265
from DMV due in June.
Should I pay the 4 month registration fee?
I do not think Dealer paid that fee either, as the registration fee was paid
by the original owner annually and it is non-refundable.
Anyone knew the rule? Thanks! |

车快没油了，停在一个米表边上用手机找加油站，撞到了枪口上，后面就是城管车在趴活
女老黑城管看我没下车付钱，车牌上的stamp是17年的，就跑来问我要registration看，
悲剧的是我7月寄到家的那张新registration当时没找到，只找到旧的，黑妈一下给我
开了两张罚单。
registration过期40，停车费25，也不听我解释就跑了。
罚单说可以写信appeal，请问一下我寄去新registration appeal的话，一般还需要上
庭么

我的情况比较复杂，我是在康州上学，毕业之后开车来加州想找工作。但是去
年走的时候，应该renew registration的，当时想着来加州了要换牌照，就说算了，就
没管。结果来了加州，换了好几个地方，一直忙着找工作，也一直没有定下来，去DMV
换车牌的事儿就一拖再拖，最近找工作不顺利，就突然想回国了。
所以，最近就在弄卖车的事情，卖车之前想把关于registration的事儿理理清
楚。上网一查，registration过期是很严重的事情，以前不知道。然后就想，先把
registration在康州renew了，再卖车吧，因为不想留下什么不良记录。但是发现要在
康州做尾气检测，但是现在车在加州，不知道该怎么办。。。
还有，就是我可不可以在加州把车卖了，再把康州的牌照注销掉，这样对之
前没有renew registration会不会有什么影响呢？ |

了地址，结果到九月份还没收到新的registration。还巧了，昨天在网上schedule了回
santa clara DMV，要他们寄registration给我，因为八月就过期了。今天就被警察抓
了，还好，我有付registration和改地址的收据，但警察看了后还是给了小黄条，要我
收到registration后要个警察签字，然后去court house，有没有问题啊？要上庭吗？

共同点，把它们尽量对齐。 alignment 是registration一个特例，当你仅仅对齐

question 2: 能不能有个图例？连接？我想要一个图例,希望是那种CT scan, or MRI
那种一堆脑 or 器官部位图的，想说明做检查的时候，人会动，或者身体正常运动，导
致形态变化，所以有必要用registration or alignment来保证结果准确。排除了这些
差别，才能找出真正tumar在哪里/.

刚刚从外州搬到亚特兰大，准备去换一下车的registration，现在知道的信息是我得先
换驾照，然后去换car registration，现在很疑惑的是车的title也要换吗？还是只用
换个tag？因为看DVM上面写的费用，换title要交车的价值的6.5%的tax（对穷学生来说
，真是不小的数目），而且当初我在宾州办title的时候已经交了这个tax。想想很肉疼。
我不是很明白的：
1：换car registration的同时一定要换car title吗？
2：他们怎么知道我车当时买的多少钱呀？
3：car tag到底是什么东西呀？

的一个概念。 所有今天提到pre-registration的地方大概都来自于对白宫fact sheet
里"providing portable work authorization for high-skilled workers awaiting
LPR status and their spouses"这句话的过宽理解。他们lobby了很多年，而今天在看
到这句话时和自己的lobby effort在潜意识里结合了起来，于是认为这就是他们想要的

1个多月的时间就该renew了，想请教下我搬去康州的话需要去康州的DMV换驾照，车牌
还有registration吗？
主要纠结的问题如下
1、我现在的密歇根驾照明年10月才过期，但是我的OPT到明年6月底结束，如果我去了
康州不换驾照会有什么问题吗？主要怕换驾照需要一堆材料，可能还会有别的问题，而
且指不定给的时间比现在还少划不来。
2、车牌需要去换吗？
3、registration是我在这边renew了之后去康州换一下，还是说直接去康州那边再处理
，哪种比较合适？

和老婆团聚了，然后9月初回国，10月下旬才回来。现在正在考虑把registration换到
纽约。
问题：
（1）registration transfer有无时间限制？
（2）应该带哪些文件？（查了一下，但还是要问一下，免得跑两次。谢谢先）
a 老婆的驾照已经是NYC
b 我的还是TX的驾照
c 车保险已经是NYC的了
（3）我可以去DMV办理registration transfer吗？（考虑到我的外州驾照） |

收到DMV发的car registration 的renewal, 其中包括一项叫license fee 要190刀.
记得以前在其他周只要付50左右的registration fee而没有这个license fee.
是不是加州每年renewal都有这个license fee?
