舉不符合美國政策。美國在台協會（AIT）8日上午罕見發表3點強硬聲明，表明美國並
未批准升旗，也已向台灣當局提出嚴正關切，更希望「台灣確保這類事件不再發生」。
我國駐美代表處元旦當日，在雙橡園舉行升旗典禮，駐美代表沈呂巡、僑務委員、僑界
代表多人出席儀式，這也是台美斷交36年後，青天白日滿地紅國旗再次自雙橡園升起。
駐美代表沈呂巡6日表示，元旦升旗典禮，身為主權國家的外交官不需像小媳婦般拜託
人家同意；與美方事後有充分溝通，美強調關係沒有改變，就證明雙方互信堅強。
美國在台協會發言人金明8日上午針對此議題，提出3點強硬聲明。第一，重申雙橡園元
旦升旗美方並不知情，也沒有批准；第二，美方對這樣的行為失望，也已向台北和華盛
頓的台灣資深當局提出嚴正關切；第三，美方希望台灣「確保這類事情不再發生」，以
展現台灣在美台關係中重視的優先項目。
