发帖数: 5637 | 3 本着对老公认真负责的精神，我放狗搜了一下关于自杀率和职业的关系。暂时没有发现
老婆不上班会让老公因为失业而更容易自杀的数据。我听到的是老婆没有上班其实是家
里的一个“security net”。因为如果先生失业了，老婆可以出去工作。另外，美国对
有disability的人还是有Long Term Disability或Social Secuirty的保护的，失业的
有失业金可以拿一阵子。不太至于因为先生失业而走投无路吧。
我想stay-at-home的家庭一般家里虽然财政方面吃紧一点，但是生活节奏方面的压力会
小很多。这也是我为什么选择做全职太太/妈妈的主要原因。我老公现在习惯了我在家
里，他对朋友都会说能够太太呆在家里最好。当然，并不是每一位先生都这么想，也并
不是每一位太太都愿意呆在家里。

religio 啊。这些最后都汇总到 “religion" 这个词下面的。
我来美国后最开始在的一个教会，他们就很不喜欢别人说他们是 religion。他们强调
说，他们信的是 truth，所以正确的信仰只能是唯一的。而 "religions" 是复数，是
对这个 truth 的各种错误认识。
所以每次听到别人澄清说，佛教不是宗教，我都想笑 -- 其它宗教也是这么抱怨和撇清

当然，黄梦尘的亲戚朋友舍不得，难过，可以理解。但是那些八竿子打不着的基督徒们
应该很高兴才符合基督教信仰，

还有你引用的那个报告指明了美国佛教徒有一个明显不同其他信仰的特点，那就是四分
之三是自己的选择而不是由家庭出身的结果。佛法在西方走得是学术界的路子，一是毕

。说实话，只要是人控制的东西，就没几个是好的。北美的很多华人教会，真的不怎么样。不仅专业水平低下，而且整天窝里斗，果然是有人的地方就有江湖。就那么个P大的教会，也要分成好几派。
一个人如果有了信仰，这挺美好的。但是如果有了宗教，未必是件好事。一个人需要的是信仰，而不是宗教。
举个例子
佛经里的佛陀不止一次说他自己不是神，并且告诫信徒千万不要弄个佛像出来拜。可是
信徒哪个听话了？当然了这个很好理解。不弄个佛像出来，那些寺庙怎么收香火钱？同理适用于北美的很多华人教会。不弄个教会出来，怎么收奉献？奉献虽然不多，一个月小几千还是有的吧。信徒不够怎么办？死命的忽悠呗。和我早几年看过的传销组织，手法如出一辙。这个只能说是华人教会的悲哀，你说咱中国人怎么就这么喜欢做BOSS呢。因此我说，这样的华人教会不去也罢。宁可 |

中国人对权力的崇拜程度令人发指。从上面很多回帖可以看出来。这里不是说每个人都

这就是为什么＂枪杆子里出政权＂那么有市场。枪杆子可以让人拥有权力，但是这种集
中的权力是否能够有效地统治国家，却是一个问号。
历代帝王权力集中一身。他的权柄成为社会稳定的标志乃至手段。但是帝王依旧有明君
昏君之别。遇到昏君，人们想到的就是取而代之，把他手中权力拿过来。
这种权力更迭充斥着整个中国历史，形成独特的价值观，并渗透到中国文化的每一个角
落。权力更迭之后，下一任掌权者通常会吸取一些教训，对政体进行修正。然后社会矛
盾重新积聚，人们考虑新一轮权力更迭，开始又一个轮回。
