附佛外道的特征
历史上形形色色的附佛外道，大略表现出以下共同特征∶
喜谈神通自我吹捧∶如真佛宗，在每个著作中说自己如何了不起，降伏某某护法，并说某某法王皈依其门下。通常，佛教禁忌谈论神通和自我吹捧。
教主崇拜∶教主自称大师要求教众对教主进行崇拜。如法轮功\创始人李洪志自称大师，印发他的画像并要求信徒张贴、悬挂来膜拜[12]；奥姆真理教创始人麻原彰晃曾自称神仙，后来自称拥有超能力并要求信徒膜拜他[13]。
依附他宗∶教主自称某佛、某法王转世，或称自己就是某神佛甚至某些神佛；或与某法王等合影，称已得传承。

念一个宗教人物，如果说佛法是宗教的话。 英国政府现在已经将佛法列入中小学学校
课程，他们何以会有这种智慧与认识？追究其原因，可能是受到世界著名的英国历史哲
学家汤恩比博士的影响。他于七十年代在欧洲一个国际会议上，宣称能够解决二十一世
纪人类问题，只有“中国孔孟学说”与“大乘佛法”。这是一个世界权威学者说出来的
话。而且上一属的教皇下命令，鼓励天主教神父访问佛教，并与佛教对话。这都是受了
汤恩比博士的影响。
西方最早对佛法的研究始于德国。马克思、恩格斯对西方宗教论述颇多，但很少涉及东
方的佛教。恩格斯在《自然辩证法》中有处提及佛教的思维，持肯定态度：“辩证的思
维，只有对于人，才是可能的，并且只对于相对高级发展阶段上的人（佛教徒和希腊人
）才是可能的。”
马克思在一封写给恩格斯的信中表现出对一部佛教书籍的关注。一八六一年五月十
日，马克思致信恩格斯时提到：“在柏林还访问了弗里德里希·科本……他赠送给我两

belief意为:
1.精神上对其他人相信或信任的行为,情形或习惯.
2.精神上对某些事情的真实性,实在性或有效性的接受或
深信;
3.被认为或者接受为真实的东西,特别是指被一组人接受
的一条或一部特殊的原则.
religion意为:
1.a.对一种超自然的力量或者被认为是宇宙的创始和统治
的力量的信仰和敬畏.
b.基于上述信仰和崇拜的私人的或者制度化的系统.
2.一个人按照宗教信条生活的方式.
3.基于一位精神领袖的教义的一组信仰,价值观和实践.
4.基于热诚(zeal)和热爱产生的动机,原则和行动.
上述译文未必完全确切,但应当能够反映其差别.
基于上述定义,可以看出,
belief的核心意义是精神上的信任和接受;
religion的核心意义是基于共同信仰的组织和行为方式.
基本上说,religion是建立在某种belief上的具有制度
化和集体归范的东西.

补充几个事实：
犹太人被称作：people of the book, 犹太教也是 religion of a book.
但是基督教从来宣称自己不是 religion of book, 而是 religion of the WORD
WORD 就是耶稣基督，耶稣是神的活的话语： God's living word. 耶稣高于圣经。
WORD是英语翻译，希腊语原文里面是 logos。
中文译为“道”，“太初有道，道与神同在，道就是神。道成了肉身，就是耶稣基督。”
logos是什么，大家都知道，译为道是完美翻译。我看比word还好。
而且耶稣说“我就是道路，真理和生命。”
中文的道其实本来就还有道路，真理，生命的意思。 |

Christianity was the same evil or even worse when it was like this dated
