I was very upset when I landed Ames, a small town in the
middlewest of U.S., since there is no modern building,
and only few people are in the street. I could still remebered
those days I kept asking myself every night: That's all U.S about?

Call them and ask for rabbit pallet in 50 lbs.
My Timothy pellet is actually for horses. Only $11.5 50 lbs.
My LD call the place and said "we want some bulk timothy pellet".
It turn out their unit is 1 ton, 40x 50lbs in one package!
We get a good laugh over our request for "bulk package".

译过来的。它的翻译，有时甚至不是真正佛教人翻译的，错误是难免的。
“受持”这词，在不同的场合下，也许有点差异。即使在你贴的的这篇《杂阿含416经
》中，它的意思，也不是特指能不能背诵。至少有"理解和信受"的含义，看看这段文的
意思：
“佛告比丘；「汝云何受持四圣谛」？比丘白佛言∶「世尊说言∶此是苦圣谛，
我即受持；此苦集圣谛，此苦灭圣谛，此苦灭道迹圣谛，如是世尊说四圣谛，我即受持
」。”
翻译成现代文是这样的：
佛问比丘：“你们怎么受持四圣谛的？”比丘回答佛说：“世尊说，这是苦圣谛
