Repairman”，指的是产品的质量太好了，所以维修员闲得跟Maytag Repairman一样。
Maytag还吞并了另一个大牌Amana，也是质量特好。现在你要是买7，80年代的老房子，
还能见到当年的这两个牌子的洗衣机。卖家要是个老头老太太的话，估计会给你鼓吹他
的洗衣机如何好，还能用上个50年不变，100年不变的。。。可惜公司不懂得变通，居
然被后起之秀Whirlpool于2005年给吞并了。当年其实也差点被海尔给买了，但美国政
府干预了，所以只能卖给美国的企业。现在看到的Amana，Maytag，Magic Chef都属于
Whirlpool集团的，质量都差不多，没有特别好的，也不特别差而已。。。 |

是顺进来的，但想着也不对呀，就找了repairman来看，屋顶没漏，在屋顶排气口那发
现两个小的蜜蜂窝，正好卡在挡板上，想想也make sense，就算好了。后来又下雨，结
果发现还是滴水，而且这次雨也不大。一般雨停了，滴水一会也停了。所以又打电话给
repairman，他说，可能miss了什么地方，会再来看，也可能屋顶排气口有个很小的地
方seal不好，，如果这样的话，他说能不能用tape（应该是那种最强力的tape）给粘粘
，问我行不行，我一听傻了，tape修屋顶？？？现在还没有来看，不知道什么情况，想
问问大家有没有遇到过这种情况。一般大的contrator公司都不接这种小活，但是这个
处理方式tape修屋顶行不行吗？非常感谢大家！ |

go to dentist. only need half a day. If you need to fly to another town,
that you need to come up a good reason. you can travel using weekend and
then use one weekday(Monday/Friday) for the interview. |

你真是专业水准，赞! 这个repairman 今天说是定时器问题，上次来说是加热管问题，
都把管子给换了， 但是问题还是没有解决。他说今天没有零件，等下周买了定时器再
来换。要是这次再没有修好，我也不想修了，太浪费时间了，说好3点来，结果4点多才
到，说他有客户blah blah
工作的时候，冷冻室低于零度，双金属开关闭合； 定时器计算压缩机工作时间，好象
是24小时闭合一段时间，这样加热管通电除霜。如果冷冻室超过零度或者除霜到达预定
时间，加热管就断电了，除霜结束。
时器还不到工作时间，冷藏室牛奶就完蛋了。defrost之后又出问题，说明除霜电路有
故障。
四次还搞不定。自己上网Google。第五次让维修工上门，手把手教那个家伙怎么测，应
该换那个零件。 |

排气扇和落地窗的window screen都坏了，联系realtor，it告诉我说repairman会来修
，结果3、4个星期过去了，一直都没见人影。中间发了几次email都不理了。我上网查
了下，好像排气扇和window screen都是landlord's responsibility，即使lease上没
写（求确认）。
我现在想到的办法是叫city inspector来看，如果房东/landlord再不修，我就withold
partial rent，不知道行不。各位有经验的还有别的招不？

door stops.
I did that myself just the night before the repair is supposed to come, and
had to let the repairman go back when he came. |

too much detail. It's enough to say that the toilet keeps flushing or leaking
itself, the repairman should know what to do. 马桶水箱 is called tank,

They do not appear to offer an extended warranty, but I would also like to
know what other people think about extended warranties. ( I recently talked
to a TV repairman who said all manufacturers have had increased failure on
their TV's over the last couple years. He said he never used to recommend
extended warranties, but he does now )
