regarding the rules:
1) stay on the side walk, and designated areas (bus captains/volunteers will
show you with a detailed diagram), basically the designated areas are
the strip of concrete/stone ground between the 2 lines of trees in civic
plaza
2) civic plaza grass is being reseeded. we absolutely MUST stay OFF the
grass (littlefish reports that they are enclosed off with fences anyway)

然后就是下雨或者浇水
反正怪麻烦的

砍树公司拖走还得另外交$150-200／棵。我一发狠，让他们给我留了4棵锯成log做
firewood，算是省下一个stella的钱。其余的树让公司分2次拖走，结果还是太重，卡
车居然爆胎了，草坪大面积损伤，明年得reseeding。 |

草种，密撒，浇水，每天浇水，两个星期发芽，一个月内长成。只要草的密度达到一个
平方英寸7，8棵左右的密度，杂草根本就没办法生长。
现在正是九月，overseeding和reseeding的最佳时候，否则就只能等到春天4月了，要
干就速度！ |

most bagged grass seeds are mixtures of different species. the breeds are
selected based on the weather in your area.

I just reseeded part of my lawn. I liked Pennington seeds better than Scotts
(based on germination rate). It believe it is a mixture of 7-8 species
mainly Rye/Bluegrass/ Fescue. |

PCBN) or chlorothalonil. Repeat as directed. The occurrence of many lawn
fungi can be reduced by watering in the early morning instead of the evening.

的一半好些，reseeding就可以。后院长了很多moss的那块他说因为地势比较低，有积
水，而且还有大树在那，基本没什么办法。他说可以8月来做这些事情，总共800.
前院 till, reseed，后院aerating overseed，前院shrub trim ，种子种blue
Kentucky grass mix +shade sun
大家看靠谱么？如果我们自己做，till, aerating是不是都得去hd租机器来做？新手做
ok么？我们算一般handy的吧 |

发帖数: 4844 | 21 楼上大师说的对，如果换草皮的话，就用她说的方法，最简单。换完之后也是要猛浇
水几周。
如果你想重播草籽也行。大部分杂草都过不了冬会自己死掉，可是如你所说来年还会长
的。但不管如何你最好不要现在杀死它们，留着它们的根和即使黄掉的枯叶可以保土。
要不冬天和初春的大雨会冲刷掉地里的土，尤其是有坡度的地方。
来年你要播草之前两到三个星期左右，你可以撒药杀草。有的人用roundup，不过俺还
是忌讳这个，建议尽量避用roundup。俺推荐使用Tenacity。 Weed b gone也可以达到
杀杂草的目的，不过不像Tenacity,撒了WBG后的三、四周内新草也活不了。施用一次通
常地里的杂草还会留下一些死不了，间隔两周连续施药可以达到roundup的效果，当然
好草多数不会死。俺今年reseeding用Tenacity效果很好，唯一意外的是地里所有的
fine fescue都被干掉了，好在俺计划要的是blue grass.也无所谓了。Tenacity还有一
定的抑制杂草发芽的作用，大概一两周的样子，所以如果这段时间新草发芽的话，你可
以后续施用pre-emergent的药来保障杂草不再发芽。... 阅读全帖 |

发帖数: 732 | 22 综上，铺草皮是最好的办法。草坪面积不大，应该价格能接受，请人铺最省事。
自己撒草籽的话，明年春天撒，会有很多杂草籽同时发芽（看楼主描述，应该杂草们已
经成功播种），根本挡不住啊，pre emergent还不能用，不然好草籽也发不出来。如果
用tenacity这种杀杂草的药也得等好草长得比较大了再杀，好草太小时也会被杀掉。但
那时杂草猖獗，杀掉后会让草坪显得稀稀拉拉，很难看，需要多杀几次，然后秋天再
overseeding。挺费事。
如果春天不撒草籽，夏天开始roundup几轮（像草神SSA那个帖子那样），再reseeding
，可能会稍微省事点，但大半年草坪秃着，很难看，有的社区还不允许。 |

Tenacity is safe for use at or prior to seeding on Kentucky bluegrass, tall
fescue, perennial ryegrass, and centipedegrass. Application at seeding can
be made to fine fescue only if it is less than 20% of a seed mixture.
据俺今年的经验的确如此。药下去一周后撒草籽没问题，等新草出苗又是两三个星期了
，不会被药伤害了。至少KBG和Tall Fescue很安全。fine fescue不行，连撒两次后，
俺地里的fine fescue全阵亡了，虽然撒第一次的时候还是安然无恙的。
