反对lease的最重要最重要的理由是： 前三年车跌价最多，lease怎么可能合算呢？
似乎这个论据想都不用想，太显然了。实际上有些时侯不是这么回事！
如果厂家有这样的deal, 你lease车三年内实际会跌了很少的价：
人为地把residual 提高；
同时又有巨大的买车discount;
假设一辆五万的车， residual 60%, discount 七千块。
所以你四万三买的车，还车residual 三万，三年只用了（跌了）一万三！是车价的26%.
你三年只实际花费了车价的26%? 比十年折旧的平均水平还低？ lease跌价很多的理由
荡然无存。
实际上你这上面占了这么大便宜，it more than covers the bank fee and lease
interest rate.
关键是七千的discount, 被你一个只用三年的人全enjoy了，三年后又享受下一个七千
。而且residual没受huge discount的影响，还这么高。

首先，你用老Taurus和新Taurus比。这两个Taurus除了名字一样，segment, consumer
的对象完全不一样。
其次，Trim level。一款车，5年前SE trim的含义可以和5年后的完全不一样。前几年
福特还有SEL这个trim，没有titanium这个，这几年就trim的结构这块调整了很多，但
像其他的一些品牌，可能trim结构多少年都不变，所以这样的横向比较也是没太大意义
的。
再次，就算你拿13年的fusion和13年的camry比，也没有很强的说服力。正确的做法是
拿12年的fusion和07年的fusion比residual，然后11年的camry和06年的camry比
residual。因为product cycle里面的任何或大或小的refreshing都会影响这一代车的
residual，而非这一些列的。比如2012年底，2013 MY的fusion有major refresh，自然
而然，fusion的即期价格和将来的residual就会比06-12年这一代的大。2011年的Camry

我现在搞懂了一些路数，那个便宜的OTD只是dealer的一个trick。。
车子是大切 limited, 4WD, 3.6发动机，uconnect 8.4A navigation, power sunroof
我现在的价格是：
$519 per month， lease 36 months, 12,000 miles per yr, buy back expense is
17,253 in 3 years. 所以噱头OTD是 519 x 36 + 17253 = 35,937。
也就是说，这个dealer的residual 3年后是17,253。租车的时候应该是residual越高越
好，这个residual偏低。不过既然把monthly payment搞低了，所以也就不去管他们
offer的这个residual了。
现在再来看真正的OTD。根据cars.com的数据， 36months的2014 大切limited 4WD是$
20,575，也就是说，真正的OTD是 519 x 36 + 20,575 = OTD 39,259。dealer给的服务

我想问的其实是，residual的分布和y的分布，generally来说，是什麽关系。譬如Y是
continuous，那residual就是正态分布（如果y的分布未知的话，可以用boostrapping
等resampling method去估计y的分布,估计出来的y的分布也就是residual的分布－－－
对吗对吗对吗？不对的话为啥不对？？）；Y=binary，residual=binomial；Y=
multinomial， residual=multinomial。
归根结底我的问题是，residual的分布是不是跟Y有一等一的关系（唯一映射）？？

Let's say you bought 20k from a car, with a 10% annual rate for 5 yrs.
There are two schedules to do so.
a. (Equivalent to finance) You pay a set of money - $425 - to that dealer
and at the end of the term, you pay off and have the car, worth say $10000.
b. (Equivalent to lease) You pay a smaller monthly - $295 - to the dealer
and at the end of the term, you own about $10000 and you agree that you
would sell that car @ 10000 to the dealer.

monthly payment = (sale price - residual)/terms * APR * (1+sales tax)
residual取决于term的长短和mileage。term越长，residual越低。mileage越多，
residual越低。
理论上这些都可以谈，但其实没有必要把简单问题复杂化。lease到期后打算换车的，
谈monthly payment即可。如果又要好的lease deal，又希望residual低，那只能拼命
砍车的sale price了（保持同样的term和mileage的情况下）。 |

车行赚多少，就和路人甲一月多少钱一样，和我没有任何关系，我关心的是我兜里掏的
钱。
如果非要想车行多赚得钱是哪儿来的，大部分都是赚得后来接盘的人的钱。
lease 和purchase只多一个因素，就是残值residual value，而且残值的百分比是以
MSRP算的。
这样一来，lease就更灵活。residual的百分比是死的，不能坎，但不同车型，不同时
期是不一样的，这就决定了有些车买划算，有些车lease划算。
lease有deal的时候一般是买车有大rebate同时residual的百分比又高的时候。
最简单的比较lease和买，就是想想，lease到期后，如果你trade in这辆车，能拿到比
residual value高的价格吗？不过即使一样，还是lease划算，因为residual value不
交税。你上面的例子，如果是35k,就白交了2k左右的税。
Trade in value三年后很难精确估计，lease就是lock了这个价格，只要满足你的心理

lease的月租分两部分，一部分是折旧，一部分是利息。
随便举个例子，如果GC Limit 4x4裸配是40K，invoice是95折，大概38K，加点
incentive，例如dealer cash+loyalty/conquest+student/costco之类的，那再来个
3000 off，那就是35K可以买下来。
lease应该给你一样的初始价格，这部分叫做net capitalized cost。
折旧=net cap cost-residual。residual都是msrp*固定百分比，这个每个dealer都一
样，例如
10K mile/年的lease，2年以后residual就是66%，3年以后就是55%。
12K mile/年的lease，2年以后residual就是65%，3年以后就是54%。
所以例如你选3年12k mile/年的选择，那3年的折旧就是35000-40000*54%=13400，所以
就是370/mo，这是大头。
然后小头就是利息，每个月利息=(net cap+residual)*money factor，在如今mf低于0.

贷款里面叫利息),Residual （Lease期满的车子残值，也是你期满后如果向银行买车的
价格）。 如果车厂和银行把Residual预估的较高，在车价和利息一样的情况下，你每
月租车费会小。但是最后如果买，可能发现原来定的Residual会比市场价高，这种情况
买下来就亏了。选择是1。和银行谈价格，2。还车，再去外面买。如果Residual估低了
，你每月的租车费是多付了，到期后当然买下来划算。我一个朋友Lease了一部新车价9
万的车子，开了36月后要还车时发现市场价比Residual高了15000， 他选择买下来，又

12000 mile 每年那residue value 就会掉更多的。
话说回来， 51% residue value 还凑合了。 三年前俺lease 一辆 Jeep, 3万多刀的
MSRP, 当时车市极差，算的residue value 三年后只有不到1万1。 如果不是当时俺有
近1万5的各种 rebates/incentives， 大概俺是不会 lease 的。结果年前 kbb 的旧车
价格比俺当初lease 新车的价格还高，赶紧掏钱把 off lease 的车按当初的residue
value 买下 :-) |

直接预测residual就行。一开始输入residual为+1,-1。SGD的时候发现
training error上去了，就把residual减小接着train。
如果你有真实target，但是假装不知道，我觉得随着iteration数的增多，
你可以验证下，是不是真实residual和+r, -r的距离也会减少。
如果确实如此，那么用+r, -r代替真实residual的破坏性也会
逐渐降低。少不得试验各种threshold。 |

from financial institute. So if your friend just came in, it might not be
an option.
lease still starts with bargaining with selling price (same as if you were
buying with cash). After you have the selling price in mind, get to know
the money factor and residual after the term and you can calculate the rough
monthly amount.

己报说可以给到43700,加ttl后dealer算出来是46851,我基本还没有跟他砍价，请问：
1）还有哪些是需要的，据说side assist最好要？

所以也许 residual value 越高，折旧就越低，lease price 反而更便宜。
比如说，我是说比如说：一辆美国新车价格是 20k，lease三年residual value是10k.
那我就相当于要付 10k 折旧费再加上利息什么的。同样级别的日本车，也许新车售价是
25k，但是三年后residual value是17k，那么我只要付8k的折旧费加上利息。反倒更
便宜一些。 |
