FB这周一下子收到几百个resume。Google 员工很panic呀。 不过HR私下说了，现在有
从Google来的尽 量招，一旦moto进来以后Google就良莠不 齐了。到时候凡是那边过来

现在工作了一年，在consulting firm. 原来也有two different consulting
experiences
还需要写gpa吗？
写上怪丢人的，不写又害怕人家会认微it is below 3.0... |

某个公司有个职位，被我相中的时候，人家已经有了意中人，我的猎头死马当活马医给
递了简历。结果当然就是送死。
现在此公司又有了个类似职位，但这次是另一家猎头抢先知道了这档子事，于是又把我
送上去了。请问会有问题吗？想同一个人的resume一送再送，送完又送，今年过节不送
礼，要送只送我的resume，HR会不会就此怒了？ |

This is not true. I interviewed a lot of people. We usually spend around 1
miniute in scanning his/her resume then decide interview him/her or not.
Length is not a consideration at all. To be honest, I never see resume that is

从Super Killer Resume开始8起
写出好的resume其实最关键的是动笔之前。看到很多jms写的resume，感觉很多人写的
路子不对。总结原因就是没在动笔之前想清楚为毛写简历。可能有人觉得这个很废话，
不就是为了找工作么。其实简历的目的不是为了给你一个工作，而是让你争取到一个面
试机会。至于拿到offer,那是你面试时候要做的事。如果你投出简历，能让你有面试机
会，基本可以说你的简历写得比较合格。
一 非内容方面---即字体，格式等
为毛先8这个，原因是这个在某种程度上的重要性已经超出了内容本身。为毛这么说，
因为审简历的人一般是HR。他们本身的业务水平有限，而且众所周知，在这个一山一山
人等着找会计工作的今天，HR能摊到每个简历的时间大约是30秒。这么短的时间里，比
起内容，似乎格式，字体等更重要

each resume. And HM or members in team would spend less than 10 minutes on
each resume unless you showed you are good candidate.
I do not think anyone should write 3+ resume for industry position unless he
is "da niu". 3+ pages mean one have poor summary ability.

It looks like you must work in different pattern as recruiters I met or you
are senior recruiter that only view filtered-resume. I still do not see any
reason for FRESH master to go 2+ pages. For recruiter to view hundreds of
resume per day, there is little hope for them to pay attention on page2 if
they can not find much on page1.
As you said, content is most important, extend would not help. Highlight is

首先我不是hr专业的，观点也许有偏颇。
今天正好集中看了三十几份resume，一多半是同胞的。所以想冒泡出来说两句。主要是
围绕简历格式，字体的。我随便说说，大家随便看看。
（1）有些三份简历选择了类似的一个template。可能是为了凑在一页上，安排的非常
满。我一搭眼压根不想看，简直是wall of words：特别多字，非常挤，section 之间
没有间距，
section title还是全capital words。但还是看了，因为是自己人的。我不
知道hr看到这样的排版怎么想。图就不放了，大家自己想像吧。
（2）另外一份走了极端，非常松散，明明能放在一页上搞了稀松的一页半，让人感觉
经历很单薄。（第一张图）
（3）最让我难受的是有一份简历。它大部分用的是方方的那种字体，突然在project

判一番。然后俺就灰溜溜地埋头用功，诚恳地承认自己的东东上不了台面。也感谢这样
的“文化大革命”，最后的version为俺在未毕业以前就找到了“婆家”。以下是俺的
些许心得，希望对朋友们有用。个人情况也要具体分析，不一定适合所有人。
1.申请工作的job description一定仔细通读，resume的突破口就从列出的条条款款直
接针对性地下手。把自己和这个工作相关的经历成就list出来，再prioritize.
2.Industry的工作，通常不要超过两页到两页半（graduate students)。最先列出的（
姓名联系方式之后），应当是和你申请工作最息息相关的Strength。Bullet points，
简明扼要，一下抓住雇主眼神。然后可以是你的Professional Experience或者
Education。描述你的Professional Experience或者Research Experience时，不能只
列个时间地点，必须要用一两句话简洁概括你在这个project里担任什么职 |

with bad format. If they are interested, they will contact you for a word
copy.
Normally you can edit the extract plain text version on the job site. You
can change the indenting and line breaking. It is definitely worthwile to do
it once for all.
If not editable, you can get ride of all formats in your word version of the
resume before uploading it.
Or you can use Notepad to get a plain text verion first and upload it. |
