本来想等到拿到绿卡（如果能拿到）再写，昨天看见有人说07/07NIW是人精，尽管是开
玩笑，想起我们家的绿卡申请漫长且未完待续的道路，颇有感触。干脆提前来说说我们的绿

LD是95年因为父亲工作原因，随父母来美。当时17岁。96年作为LD父亲的dependent申
请绿卡。很快拿到EAD卡，曾经在大学期间实习和打工用过。但是几年过去绿卡都没有
到手。他们全家也曾多次找过当地议员，都不能找到case的下落。只能继续等着。当然
当时他们也没有很多这方面的知识，手头有EAD，就继续上学打工。悲催的事情发生在

1)周五半夜12点从湾区开拔, 通宵开车赶往lone pine, 中间困的不行, 在bakesfield睡
了一会. 抵达lonepine的时候已经9点半
2)守株待兔的运气不错, 拿到了最后的2张permit. 不过如果没拿到, 等到下午2点再去
, 也许还有放弃没取的人多出来的permit
3)吸取了上次shasta的教训, 这次尽量轻装, 路口那里称了一下背包只有19磅, 主要是
6瓶瓶装水, 还有兑了海盐和红糖的一个水袋.
4) 菜鸟就是菜鸟, 才19磅就压的够戗, 一路似乎都有高山反应, 周日凌晨两点半从
trail head出发, 爬到99 switchback的时候已经8点多. 半路上抛弃了3瓶水, 后来回
来的路上因为天黑找不到了. 到switchback底部的时候躺在大石头上打呼噜睡了半小时

Man, Yao really deserves all the love he gets. Great guy and such a unique
player to watch back in the day.
This makes me really appreciate Steve too. He gets a lot of hate, but this
sheds a lot of light on the kind of teammate and person he is.
