麻州哈利法克斯镇(Halifax)一名亚裔男子，疑似与在约会网站认识的一名应召女在发
生性交易后讨价还价而酿杀机，最后刺死该女。而这宗谋杀案被揭发，却是因案中案，
过程颇具戏剧性。
32岁的邓索结(Soi Ket Dang，译音)，18日被控谋杀19岁的玛莉莎‧兰德尔(
Marissa Randall)，并不准保释。.警方最初接到一宗报案，是在寻找杜斯伯里镇(
Duxbury)一名16岁失踪女孩，透过追踪其手机，发现她在邓索结家，遂将她带回警局。
在警方问话时，该女孩说，邓索结向她透露，前一晚曾杀死一名女子，而且尸体还放在
家中。透过该女提供的线索，警方再次搜索邓索结家，才发现兰德尔的尸体。

。中央分局长叶培恩呼吁华妇单独走在路上时，必须注意四周环境，选择走在人流密集
的街道。
过去数天发生的街头抢案，抢匪多是从后面袭击受害人，并将受害人推倒在地上，使受
害人受伤，伤者中多人是华裔。
亚裔妇人经常成为街头暴力案的犯案目标，叶培恩说，这与族裔背景有关，挑选亚裔妇
人犯案，反抗力相对的较低。

上周末听说新唐人电视台在歌剧厅举办新年晚会，我们曾毫不怀疑能够估摸出晚会
大概的样子。在我们小的时候，父母总是拽我们去参加中国文化的各种活动，甚至我们
还会参与一些表演。中国的杂技演员顶着瓷碗向后弯腰及地。至于琵琶和古琴弹奏，我
们都见识过。还有浓饰重彩的京剧演员甩着长袖，扮演猴子的武生上窜下跳满场翻飞，
以及那伴着锣鼓家伙的嘈杂声。这些艺术都有五百年的历史了。
不过我们这里看到的却是：在电脑动画背景下，一位天使降临人间来拯救“被共产
党迫害”的法轮功练习者，还伴随着“法轮功就是好”的歌曲。
是的，我们得承认：这是我们从来没有看过的。
在降临之后，整台晚会似乎就和法轮功毫无联系，但又可以说息息相关，似乎它贯
穿了整个中国5000年的文明历史，外加多彩的画面。
新唐人电视台的这场晚会已经是第四届了，在全世界近30个城市巡演，和我们参加
