in the highly stressed parts of the frame, like the chainstay-bottom bracket
area, downtube-headtube weld, etc.
the way they overbuild aluminum frames is they set a target life cycle, more
than vast majority of the riders' needs. say, for example, 5 years @ 10k
miles/yr by a 170lbs rider with a peak force on pedal ~600lbs. safety margin
/redundancy is then added--say, the frame should last over 10 years @

of controlled speed. the most dangerous riders are those who are physically
strong but don't know or don't care to hone up their bike handling skills (
yes, triathletes).
i don't care if it's a group ride, a race ride, or if it's a race. i want
to keep riding and nothing is worth crashing for. unfortunately not

with the local racing clan.
Davis has probably the largest cycling club on the west coast (more than
1200 members). And it's divided into three groups: the racers, the tour/
long distance riders, and the recreational riders. there are like five or
six different mailing lists, and they reimburse their race team members for
50% of the racing costs as long as you put in 8 hours volunteer time. The

pace" - this is what worries me a little bit. This group regularly has about
30 riders. Today due to the rain only 11 riders went through the whole
distance. If the leader is(apparently) the slowest among these 11, it is
safe to say he's just average in the whole group, which means it's
challenging for him to control.

median to advance groups the LBS |

and was doing it as a TTT. Kind of wimpy to pull that in an IM.
And a true triathlete would not want to (or know how to) draft, because he
trains most of the time by himself, and even when riding in a group, he
would only want to be in the front, because he would not consider it real
riding without the pain in his legs.

at 20:30, with a total time of 15 hours 20 mins. I went extremely
conservatively and stopped at near all rest stops to eat/drink. As a total
beginner to this sport, here is what I felt after the ride:

beginning of the ride, do not push hard on climbs.You want to finish strong
instead of start strong. 22 mph guys are much faster/stronger than 16/18 mph
riders. 22 mph guys are more serious riders and don't like to wait along.
Bring the cue sheet and be prepared to be dropped.Tell them to go ahead
instead of asking them to slow down. It's no big deal.

前言:
事前我十天没骑车,除了度假和啤酒,啥也没干,算是被迫taper了。
事实证明,只要一不怕苦,二不怕“死”,三不怕大胆,人人都能骑三翠。
虽然我骑过三翠,但是最难的只有100mile/6000尺爬升。
星期四和缪哥联系上,周五出去lunch ride,算是见面认识了。很遗憾我临时改时间,
要不缪哥还可以认识大名鼎鼎的老费。周五顶风飙了18迈,很过瘾,大概是taper了十
天的结果,感觉很好,觉得信心爆棚的可以去报名death ride了(晚上回家查资料,发
现6/25还会再re-open registration)。
周六清早临时决定不去大波罗,”含泪饮恨”错过拜见鼠鼠,对不起哈!

不记得有过坡。最大的坡就是那个连接大陆(ocean city)和大西洋小岛(Assateague
State Park)最多3%的拱桥。LOL。属于那种老少皆宜,各种水平都喜欢的非racing
event.每年七,八千人,没听到有名额限制。这个event以前一直是十月第一个星期六
,只有去年移到九月,原因是十月通常秋高气爽,有时能爽到像我同事骑的其中一年是
他一生骑得最艰苦的century.所以坡不是问题,问题是天气。今年又改回十月,估计九
月是骑车的黄金月份,移到九月必然跟别的event冲突。
很多业余group为了显示自己经过一年训练该宣示一下也是快车一族都参加这个event.
早上七点不到你就能看到各个group在出发地集合因为都想避开那些水平参次不齐很多
没有太多经验的rider.我认识的一个他们最后飚到23+mph,不过他们特意skip第一个休
息站以避开更多riders.他说另外一个组的目标是sub 4骑完全程。

依据这个法案,如果你本身在所在州有合法持枪的身份,就可以
各个np官网基本都有weapon/firearms这一页,陈述这个事情,
而且多数会同时给出所在州的相关法律
比如yosemite的:
