发帖数: 1632 | 2 Nice article. This reminded me rockcod fishing in California. The fishs
average about 5 to 10 lbs each depending on the time of the year. Most
people catch the limit easy. "扔下去就上鱼" and you don't even need real
bait. There is no technique involve and it is hard work to pull them fishes
in. I take my out of town friends to rockcod fishing if they never catch
big fish before. Otherwise, Salmon fishing is more fun because they are a
much bigger fish and you do need to fish for them.

99。冬天的时候经常有5元一袋的squash medley, 各种squash都有，好几磅重。各种
radish 1元

海鲜档，都是野生海鲜，从半月湾到加拿大、新西兰都有，没有雪藏过的，比如

雪藏过的，他卖15。69。一共有十几种鱼，都是跟着鱼季转变的。
在农贸市场最末的High Ground Organics, 是CSA Two Small Farms的成员，弯曲不少

馆如Chez Panisse, Slanted Door都向他们进货。我以前用过几家CSA, High Ground
Organics的东西一吃就不一样，自从发觉他们在Mountain View卖以后，就上那里捧场

累趴下了！回来找还有好些事情事情要急着处理，没时间。先上一些图片。另外2/3图
片在另一部相机里，还没来得及下。
Powell River，在fishing界，号称是天堂中的天堂，上百淡水湖泊，数不清的海水岛
屿、海湾、岩石海岸，是鳟鱼、石斑、lingcod、salmon最喜欢的环境。碎石海滩，一
层一层的蚝，用手挖下去，就是大量花虼。这里远离城市、人群，没有污染，它的贝类
和鱼，是很优质的。而且数量巨大，几乎找个海岸，抛杆就上鱼。
两家一同出行，此次钓鱼不是主要目的，取悦LD和叫孩子玩好，是这次的方针。因此大
量的淡水湖没有钓，在老婆孩子们玩Kayak、Canoe、捡拾贝类时，顺带海水沿岸钓。出
船钓salmon和lingcod也正是时候，但为了主要方针，也没有时间，我和朋友忍痛割爱。
因为岸钓比较浅，因此这次主要鱼种是一种叫做“rockcod”的 |

发帖数: 1430 | 16 靠海吃海, 西海岸的海产还是很丰富的, 除了高大上的鲍鱼之外, 其他的如lingcod,
rockcod, halibut, crab还真不少. 今年钓鱼技术有所突破, 收成不错. 内脏全埋了去
地里, 剩下的鱼做成了糍耙鱼, 等明年休鱼期的时候吃.
人多的时候是要上整条lingcod的
其实还是只做鱼头味道更足更好吃

sheephead，garibaldi，senorita,opaleye,kelpbass,几种各色的rockcod，还有紫色
的海胆，没有热带鱼那么艳，可是色彩不少。 |

had his limit. i over heard they were out by natural bridges fishing with
squid, and anchovies. they were caught around 10am. ha ha you can’t hide i

September 19 - White Seabass have arrived and they're biting! Rockcod and
Lingcod was HOT till South swell hit a couple days ago. Should improve by
mid-week. Halibut bite is FAIR. Tuna... forget it, they never showed up.
Salmon season now closed.

发帖数: 1192 | 26 For the rod, it is all about a balance. If you have long pole, it is hard to
hold, you will get tired quickly. If you have short pole, you have more
snags. The recommend length 10-12ft.l
For the line, you need 80lb braid.
Not much requirement for the hooks and sinkers. They are about the same as
boat fishing - 3-5oz sinker and 1/0 - 5/0 hook. Weedless hook is a plus. |

around 5:00pm
Bring your own lunch, tackle(rod, line, leaders, sinkers), and bait. I
recommend backpacking as we need to move around quite a lot.(exploring)
IMPORTANT: hiking shoes with good treads, or go baseball cleats if you don't
want to die of a free fall.
Walmart sells the surf rod.
Vietnam fisherman store sells Achovy, and everything else you need.
Ranch99 and Marina food sells Squid.

thread, PFIC folks use magic thread, we can just use 6lb line or cotton line
if you do sewing.
The line wrapping help firm the bait and prevent it from torn apart off the
hook. |
