种鱼，一个和我说Scorpion，一个说rock cod，我看不出区别，还以为是同一个。 |

发帖数: 875 | 2 恩，根据我在海边钓鱼，在家里养海水鱼，以及去超市买鱼的经验，
Scorpion和Rock fish的体型接近，但是Scorpion的皮好像更粗糙，看上去更土。
这两种鱼一般是趴在海底，靠接近周围环境的体色隐蔽起来偷袭小鱼，胸鳍和背鳍比较
发达。
石斑，我一般认为是grouper，体型跟sea bass（海鲈鱼）更接近，至少还会时常游动
，不是趴在那里一动不动那种。
用google搜一下图片，应该可以更清楚些。
Scorpion在newport pier上就可以钓到，尤其是晚上很多。
sea bass在newport bay里面很多。
Rock fish要找岩岸海滩，会多些。
Grouper在pier上好像很少见钓到，这个估计要出海。 |

最左边是brown rock cod,红的是vermillion rock cod,黑斑的是grass rock cod.

发帖数: 2990 | 6 我在gym一个攀岩两年多的越南人，很轻松能做单手的chin up，而且一样是那种要不同
位置hold住几秒的。
我觉得rock climber的训练注重能hold很久，尤其是不同位置都能hold住。还有是用手
指头不是整个手。但是手臂力量其实不见得多强，因为rock climber只需要对抗自重。
所以专业的基本都是精瘦类型的，没有大块头的。举铁估计跟版上的比都挺弱的。
我挺喜欢rock climber的体型的，只有两点儿不好，越厉害的，前臂越是明显的粗，还
有手指头也很粗。 |

来给我看看，应为从没拿在手上看过。店主说卖的还可以什么这里5个警察买过，零售
499刀。Centerfire卖359刀才。有点重，感觉有两把Glock19的份量，弹夹推出很好，
很方便比Glock19多用一点力而已。这枪在我手上觉得很沉，不容易快速瞄准。我听说
过Rock Island的1911的精准度不差，店主也说很准。trigger和hammer都和Colt 1911
差不多。问题在这个slide，拉回来后按release button很费力，colt 的就很好和我的
Glock19差不多。Colt的比Rock Island拿在手上要轻一些，握把好像也更舒服一些。要
是能把这个slide release改修一下，我认为，对于1911的爱好者，入门者应该是很值
得买的。 |

football game，半场的时候都要报Slippery Rock本周比赛的得分。如果Slippery

发帖数: 2636 | 9 20多条路线，大部分是初中级的sports，有不错的trad路线，有multi-pitch。很容易
的approach (10-15 min on paved road)，风景也相当不错
离LA一个多小时，冬季理想的练习场所。路线的质量放在JT也是decent的
JT有名是因为高质量的路线很集中，在其它地方同样高质量的路线比较零散，但足够初
学用了。我们在Big Rocks呆了半天，只爬了4条sports。所有的路线都爬完也需要整整
一个周末的。

lead. The one on TR was an easy 5.6 route and that is the first time I have
taken a fall on a 5.6. Second time was a 5.8 sport. I was nearing the
anchors, about 6-8 feet above the last bolt. It was a bit scary but
fotunately the terrain was vertical enough that I didn't hit anything.
I have broken a hold at Red Rocks, I think it was on the last pitch of Going

you can start.
2. I think the angle is your personal choice. Some may completely
perpendicular to current, make it more of eddy turn, but that eddy line is
very strong, which may flip you. As a beginner, I chose a sharper angle,
just enough to avoid dimple rock, more stable.
This only applies to kayak, I don't know much about rafts.

classic的活动，晚上在Depot吃饭和看新出的攀岩电影。不过主要是攀岩。
话说第二次户外，indoor的话，我这个beginner只尝试到5.7，这次户外，都只在离营
地最近的Rope de Dope Rock玩。尝试了Rope De Dope crack (5.8)，到了一半的转折
点就放弃了，完成了North Slab Crack (5.5),再搞了搞旁边的how low you can go? (
5.7),基本上我这个酱油党的攀岩周末就此结束了。
园内都是攀岩的胜地，对上一次去还走了misery trail, 看了monkey face。 |

Sun的途中看见了Mohegan Reservation的标记，差点让我误当成Mohican, 脑海里立刻
想起了《The Last Mohican》里印第安人的奔跑场面。到了赌场里面安检差点把我拦下
，这次带的Nikon V1+30-110镜头立了大功了，和DC大小的尺寸却有不输单反的性能，
安检的人请了旁边的人看了一下认定我的是普通相机，放行了，这种情况下带个微单系
列的相机估计都会被拦下，只不过Nikon 1恰好小了一点点，得以顺利带入，心中早已
暗喜了。
进场7：30半刚过，进去之前得知还有一个乐队叫Tesla的，虽然作为一个加州的
乐队也算颇具名气，但这次是来暖场的。演出已经开始，典型的硬金属而且主唱的嗓音
比较尖，感冒不起来，只不过他们人气也不错，演出1个小时结束。
中间休息半个多小时，外面只提供啤酒和薯片，忍了一下什么也没吃。
9：15左右大屏幕开始播放83年Scorpions和Van Halen当年盛况演出的片断，然

Jam的，这个乐队虽然不是我最喜欢的风格，但是他们的影响力却大大超出了我原来的
预期。作为Grunge的鼻祖之一，Eddie Vedder也是和Kurt Cobain一样的反商业化代表
人物，拒绝和抵制音乐产业的商业化运作。以至于滚石杂志无奈的评价Eddie在过去的
10几年中最爱干的事就是和自己的名声过不去。只不过他们的新专辑让我重新审视这支
乐队，也开始喜欢上他们的歌了。Eddie在台上唱了几首后打招呼就是“10年了，你们
过的怎么样？”不知现如今数字时代的Billboard影响力还有多大，但是他们的新专辑
发行后直接上了Billboard的榜首，Eddie却若有所思地说,”although it’s No.1,
but I feel like No.2”,挺有意思。
这次是我听过的所有音乐会里坐过的最差的座位，在乡村音乐有很大市场的南方
我低估了Rock的地位，或者说低估了Pearl Jam的地位。进场之前还期望有机会向前挪

如果你单说gnr是hair metal也不能说就不对
但是如果是和其他hair metal乐队比较，或者是找一个典型的hair metal，那gnr还是
很不一样的
christian rock本身的性质没有不商业成功的理由吧，尤其是在美国这样的地方
比如像你说的evanscence,POD还有比如nickelback,creed也都是跟christian rock挺接
近的
我自己是觉得这些乐队的音乐都做得挺差劲的
而他们christian的性质对销量啊媒体接受程度啊之类的是一个向前推动的作用，而不是
反过来的局限 |

发帖数: 520 | 28 鑽牛角尖沒有什麽意義嘛，就算是hair metal，樂隊和樂隊也都不一樣
skid row和cinderella還有ratt都是一聼就能聼出來的樂隊，但他們都是hair metal。
gnr不過是在音樂裏面加入了很多punk和blues的元素，但歸根結底，還是被劃分為hair
metal/hard rock的~
christian rock一般主要受眾是christian群體，這在很大程度上制約了其發展，就算是
在美國，一個以宗教為主題的樂隊還是很難被一般大衆接受的。其實Evanescence他們就
是一個很典型的例子，他們出道的時候是在christian label，結果後來逐漸就跳到更主
流的厰牌了，很多人都指責他們是利用christian label作爲跳板（可以證明他們的專輯
賣的出去）到更大的厰牌。
現在的事實是christian rock和主流音樂圈涇渭還是很分明的，哪怕是在美國，也都是
不同的圈子。

big rock位于riverside，离alhambra单程不到一个
半小时的程
有5.5-5.11二十来条route,适合不同水平的人们玩耍
石头是高质量花岗岩，和joshua tree, stoney point
的砂岩，point dume, malibu creek state park的
火山岩都不同。非常适合没有爬过花岗岩的去尝试。
big rock是一个slab大石头，也就是说有倾斜正角度
所以对力量要求不算太高。但是石头edge比较小，
比较适合练习平衡。
而且big rock的一个pitch很长，60米的绳子刚刚够，
50米的绳子都不够，有足够的攀登fun，又可以回头
遥望lake perris
适合新手去户外培养兴趣。
但是那里都是sports route，就是说必须有人lead
所以有能lead的人带机会也比较好吧。
有意的赶紧说一声。
要是有人能弄来第二根绳子，就还能多带几个人。

Getting $100 credit for a 2 night booking at only $138 is amazing. The newly
renovated hard rock rooms...well, rock!
Just a price comparison, that sunday night (1/1) goes for $249 and monday
night (1/2) is $89 on their site.
There aren't too many black out dates; just the typical new years eve and a
couple big conferences (CES)
