- You may do that if you want to. I only sent out "thank you notes". So far
received 7 "love letters" out of 24 programs I interviewed. According to my
classmates, the majority of programs doesn't send out any "love letters" or
only sends out a generic email/letter. This won't affect my ROL.

1. The Match Status in NRMP is "CERTIFIED ROL" (in green color).
2. Click "View/Print ROL", it will show the date and time when the ROL was
last changed and certified. Print a hard copy.
3. An email from NRMP will be received almost at the same time when
certifying the ROL. The subject of this email is "Confirmation of Certified
ROL".
4. The certified ROL can be updated any time before the deadline at 9PM EST
on Feb 22. But better complete it earlier.

一起在颤抖。“Congratulation! You have matched” 真不敢相信，我居然match上了
。在第一时间给太太打电话，发觉自己的声音都是颤抖的。三天后的Where did I
match已经是无关紧要的了。能够match上对我，step1/2仅刚刚pass 80，来说已经是够
幸运的啦，去哪儿都是无所谓的。在一年多前我拿到step1的成绩时曾苦恼得来版面上
寻求建议，当时版面上的一个著名的粉牛粉牛的ID回了帖子说我几乎是没有希望了。
想想过去这些年我的烤板之路，怎么说呢？我是起个大早，赶了个晚集。一路走来，经
历了家庭、生活、和工作的种种变故，居然能够进入这一扇门，我应该感谢的是我太太
120%的支持，在一切一切的风风雨雨中不离不弃，咬牙坚持。这一句“Congratulation

如果申请不同专业，那么整个PACKAGE都不同，PS, ROL都要不同。
尽早申请内科，晚了program可能就不会去下载。
Score, ROL很重要。
关于externship， 能做就尽量做。
病理可能Research, publication重要。内科不一定重要。
PS: 相对次要， 但不能有语法错误。
如果接听到电话面试，最好不要接，听到留言后，research一下，再打过去，避免措手
不及。
尽量找美国的MD写推荐信，推荐信不要太短，如果自己写草稿，注意信里不能有语法错
误。
找面试的非常规办法
找任何可以跟PD OR PC打招呼的人，这就是connection，可以让他们帮忙把你的申请拿出
来，避过automatic filter.
也可以让ROL写信人帮你要IV。
直接email chairman, PD。也可通过usps 或fedexmail让本人签收。
面试当天：
平时先练好问题。到面试时注意说慢一点。有抑扬顿挫，不停地和partner练习，或对
着镜子练。
没有听懂问题，一定要求repeat，回答要concise， clear。

响太大, 而且也不太现实, 不是现阶段我们能准备的.
对策可以是个人/家庭一级, 再往上是小范围的集体行为, 比如你们COLUMBIA/
BALTIMORE地区的人可以准备一些集体方案. 有条件的话,可以考虑更大范围的联络, 比
如DC/BALTIMORE/NOVA的联络...

You should treat your application materials as a whole package to show why
you are a better candidate for the law school than the other applicant.
Like using one ROL to say something about your working ability, one ROL to
talk about your study ability, etc.
And try not to say the same thing it's already been reflected in other
materials and in that way, the admission office will see a more complete and
clearer you. |

虽然USMLE的分不高，package一般般，但是大学的成绩很好，对自己有充分的自信，所
以所有的面试我都没紧张过，除了一个极其糟糕的面试外，其他的几个交流都很好。在
NY有一个带我们tour的resident对我们说：是你们的分数把你们带到这里来面试，但是
当你们来了后一切都被erase了，面试的表现决定一切。所以xdjm们好好表现吧。还有
朋友们的帮助也很重要啊。

面过的program大多都强调现在的match system 非常 favorite applicants，所以差不
多是由自己决定最终所去的地方。不过如果走不了自己的第一志愿，那么会是怎样的状
况？ 比如如下这个例子
两个申请者 A and B, Program: 00
00 有10个位置，分别把 A和B rank 在了 10 和11 位
而
A把00 放在了自己ROL 的第 10位，
B把00 放在了自己ROL 的第 1 位，
假设A没有match 到自己list中的前9个志愿（当然这种可能性比较小），A 和B 就会同
时竞争进入program 00，
那么program 00 是在默认状态下选择A 呢，还是考虑到A 并不会喜欢自己这个program
，仍旧会 选择B。
不知道这个例子我是否讲清楚了，大家给点看法吧 |

MyERAS in order to submit your SOAP applications during match week. if you
haven't register with MyERAS, it's kind of late for you. because transfer
documents such as LOR and MSPE from ECFMG to MyERAS takes weeks.
you don't need to create and/or certify a ROL in order to participate in

，特别是MD的老板，会比较支持咱们的想法。运气好的话，老板还会主动帮你出谋划策

申请的专业类型不建议太多，否则可能出现纰漏，而且需要准备不同的package等等（
比如PS, LOL都要不同），一旦被发现可能影响PD对你的看法。
同一专业，尽量申请很多的program，这样可能拿到IV的比较多，既利于个人的心态放
松，也有利于IV的表现，因为经过大致5-6个IV的经历，之后的IV中的表现可能达到最
佳状态。
Program初筛选申请者的标准，最常见的是毕业年限（通常10年是个坎）。另外，还需
要注意尽早申请。
其次的筛选，与个人的whole package 有关；包括其中的Score, ROL等等，比如PS篇幅
不宜太长，尽量把第一段写好，注意不要犯基本的语法错误；在whole package的第一
页可以把自己的闪光点尽数列出。
ROL尽量找了解申请人、并可能把申请人的闪光点展现出来的推荐人，不痛不痒的推荐
信给人的印象很糟，至少3封以上，其中至少2封来自于所申请专业的推荐人，尽量找美
国MD推荐信；externship并非必需，但近几年水涨船高，能做最好。除非申请病理，大

发帖数: 2707 | 47 1. 只要match的结果出来，你就别无选择，必须去你match到的医院。如果你想问的是
，你是不是一定会match到把你排到10名之内的那家医院(比如叫City)，那答案是不一
定。
2. 只要你的ROL里有City，不论你的排列怎样，你一定会match上(不一定是City)
3. 如果你改变你的ROL里的医院顺序，只会影响你最后去哪家医院，不会影响你最后是
否match，(无论有没有医院把你排前十，当然，有可能影响到其他人是否match)

是否可行？我可否在2017年9月份顺利递交申请？如何调整计划，特别是CK与CS的顺序
，以达到目标？
老CMG（毕业>10年），千老。 绿卡（马上公民）。目标是Adult Neurology或者
Pediatric Neurology
Step1考试：2016年10月底考试。
Step2-CK考试：2016年11月考试复习-2017年4月底考试（期间做OB）--只有6个月复习
CK。大部分前辈提到MTB step2+UW来应付CK。
Step2-CS考试：考虑到CS需要两个月才能出成绩，我最晚必需7月份初考CS。这个很紧
。因此我只有5-6月整两个月准备CS。不知道两个月准备CS够不够？ （如果把CS安排
在CK前面考试，虽然可以多留一些时间给CS复习，但是又担心过了几个月，step1考完
知识点都遗忘了，影响CK的复习和成绩）
推荐信：我的老板就是神内MD。另外课题合作的几个老板都是MD（faculty），因此，
我可以至少拿到同一医院的三封MD推荐信。我如果分别跟他们做OB，拿到ROL应该是不
