斯殖民地，同一个英国人结婚，去掉了他名字中的ye变成了Delano。十九世纪的Delano
家中的Edward在他称为公平合理合法的对华鸦片贸易中发了财。Delano家族人很杂，
Roosevelt家族也差不多，他们是1650年在到达纽约的荷兰家族。

样？brookly和queens也有大片跟曼哈顿隔条河的，跟Roosevelt算“同样地段”了吧？
而且偶看Roosevelt的交通连Queens/Brooklyn都不如，屁大点地方，什么都没有，到曼

你们看到的Google街景都是过时的，偶确定Roosevelt Ave现在没双黄线，
那roosevelt ave要是划双黄线，那要一直堵车啊，
因为前面有一辆停下卸货或者卸客的话，后面的车都动不了。
也有可能双黄线被磨掉了，现在roosevelt Ave 81街附近，地上没线， 只有citi field体育场靠近Flushing那段有双模糊的
双黄线。 |

发帖数: 96 | 17 我最近在nyc Roosevelt Island 看了一个CONDO（小房型STUDIO, 30万， 出租的话大约2000出头/每月），这个CONDO
是2007年建的，20年免地税，maintenance fee 每月320，除电外其他全包。
但此CONDO有两个问题：
1、 Roosevelt Island的土地是纽约市政府从纽约州政府lease来的， 100年， Lease
expires in 2068， 请问大家知不知道这种情况是否会对将来的房价等有影响， 我在
网上看到NYC battery park那边也是lease 的土地， lease 到期以后， 新的lease价
格变高导致每月的maintenance fee上涨。 不过区别在于battery park的地好像是开发
商从private owner租来的，Roosevelt Island是政府间的租约。
2、贷款有问题，前几年经济好的时候，大银行还愿意贷款，现在连小银行都不愿意贷
了。理由是整个building没有卖出超过51%的房子，还有个别Investor(是一家医院买来

发帖数: 42 | 20 上周六去了Four Peak Mine，这是Phoenix周边最近的Off Highway Drive Trail了。
从202上87走了十多迈，在一个有Four Peaks标志的地方拐上一条土路4 peaks rd，就
开始上山了。
土路基本比较平坦，属于非常easy的drive trail。上山的时候路两旁基本上是仙人掌
和秃山，有很多人在玩ATV，hiking，还有在camping的。因为开的比较慢，被一辆
prius飞速超过，正想着为什么prius也过来越野的时候，又被一辆minicooper超车。
看来这地方不仅仅是suv的天堂，sedan也可以来。
上到山顶，眺望远处的雪山,俯视Roosevelt Lake，吹着山顶清爽的风，跟老婆喝着啤
酒，感觉人生真是美好，所有烦恼都不在了。
下山的土路更是平坦，就是弯道比较多。可能因为Roosevelt Lake产生了小气候，周围
的植被让你感觉置身于美东的森林，仙人掌不见了，秃山也不见了，处处绿油油的高大
树冠。下山到转188到chandler大概50迈左右。

You can get into any national park for free all week long, from April 21 to 29.
Among the choices around the valley include the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Death Valley and Lake Mead.
Be advised that Red Rock Canyon is not one of the parks with free admission because it is managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

多年前刚与孩儿他爸老彼相识，就听他说自己最爱的运动是自行车。当时我暗暗撇了撇
嘴，心说那算什么东西。我一直无法理解老外们穿成五颜六色，撅着屁股吭哧吭哧有何
好玩儿。尤其是那车座又细又窄，坐在上面… …有些问题是不能问的，出于礼貌，我
回应道我也很小就爱骑了。
等我真正见识到他对骑车的狂热并开始反感时，一切都晚了。家里车库挂满了形形色色
的自行车，还时不时莫名其妙地多出几个车轮、车架、零配件... ...一问又是刚从存
储公司取来的。原来多年间他陆续买了很多辆，无处放置就花钱送到外面存着，自从有
了房子便撒着欢往回搬，最后连地下室也见缝插针挂上两个。如此这般对我唯一的好处
是，它解决了我买鞋时他表示异议的问题，因为只要听我提到自行车，他就立刻鸦雀无
声了。
记得第一次和老彼出去骑车，他专门跑到车行帮我挑选头盔、手套、挡风镜、自锁鞋、

发帖数: 792 | 34 我们刚从冰川和黄石回来，6月底出发的，一共9天，去掉往返坐飞机的两天还有7天。
飞的是missoula，在那里租的车，因为missoula正好是在两个公园中间，可以作为补充
装备食物的中转站。除此之外missoula是个不太小的城市，montana大学在那里，还有
很多家中餐馆可以尝试，walmart是supercenter，就是卖蔬菜水果还可以修车的那种，
而且是24小时。
我们一共3人，我和我的父母，所以不大能走远路和山路，所以计划在冰川只待两天，
很多好trail（有的这个时候还没开）都没走。到了那里才发现logan pass那里雪还没
清理干净，going to the sun road中间那段没开放，所以第一天去了西边的avalanche
creek，晚上绕道东冰川，入住many glacier hotel，然后早晨9点搭船去了grinnel
lake trail，这个trail很短，下了船再走约1.5mile，我父母也坚持下来了。many
glacier 地区还有很多很好的trail，比如iceberg和grinnell glacier trail，但是这

发帖数: 2516 | 35 前天回来的，个人觉得并不冷，最多早晚需要个外套，毛衣不用，不过不知道现在天气
是不是转凉了。中午还挺热的，很晒，一定要防晒，而且很干。
我住了3个lodge，都是70+/晚的那种。roosevelt的没有卫生间和浴室，房间也没有水
，要到专门的地方去洗澡上厕所洗脸，不怎么方便，有老人小孩的话不推荐。房间没有
暖气，但有火炉，提供木柴给你自己生火；old faithful lodge房间有水有暖气，可以
在房间洗漱，别的还是没有；lake lodge全都有，但因为和别的房间连着，所以邻居用
水就会很吵，方便是方便很多，但那晚我睡的最不好，可能因为邻居老在用水。
如果不想走重复的路的话，lake-roosevelt/mammonth-OF比较好，或者OF-roosevelt/
mammonth-lake也行。
玩的话觉得黄石湖超漂亮，老忠实泉和canyon也不错，mammonth比较让我失望。另外，
大提顿也很漂亮，值得一去。

First, he came from an elite family. His fifth cousin was Theodore Roosevelt. The Roosevelt family is still one of
the most prestigious ones in the U.S.
Second, he was not crippled when he first became President, and his disability was not disclosed to many
people during his presidency.
Anyway, disabled people in the U.S. do get much better treatment and live a much healthier life than in China. |
