Rosewall won his last GS at age 38. 30+ is nothing. Game was not
nearly as physical as now.
第一年34:12的主要原因是Laver刚转pro，缺少训练。不但是对Rosewall惨败，
对很多人都惨败。

If you go earlier, it's very common for old guns to perform well.
Rosewall could still win GS at 38. Laver was still in top 5 at 35.
It doesn't really mean the newer generation was weaker. |

发帖数: 30533 | 23 70-80年代前半段的澳网是草地，大家对它的历史地位可能了解不够。
举几个例子。
Borg几乎从不参加澳网。同期他6个法网5个温网。
Connors几乎从不参加澳网。他是草地、硬地选手。偶尔参加一次就不小心赢了。
McEnroe几乎从不参加澳网。他是草地选手。
那么，到底谁参加澳网？
首先是澳大利亚人。因为其他人至少需要飞1天才能到。比如Ken Rosewall 37、38岁
连得了两个。
然后是一帮不怕累的老美。比如Arthur Ashe.
总体来说，那个时期的澳网能凑满64 draw已经是大幸。比如Laver全满贯那一年，
澳网他就打了5场。轮数如此之少，以至于每盘都是长盘。Laver半决赛22-20才得以
干掉Roche.
由于影响力不够，奖金也被迫少。比如老麦的84年，澳网奖金大概法网的1/4，美网的

我觉得两位瑞士人都是特殊情况。
以后我相信多数选手30+以后还有一些竞争力，但是30+夺大满贯的次数，
应该还是很难超过两个，除了老费这种例外...

Rod Laver 30岁以后拿五个，Ken Rosewall更是目前最老大满贯夺冠者，
当然时代很不一样，你可以说那个年代太缺乏竞争，

Laver had a long-running, friendly rivalry with Ken Rosewall between 1963,
when he started out as a pro, and 1976, when both were semi-retired from the
main tour. Including tournaments and one-night stands, they played over 130
matches, all of them as professionals, with some results from the
barnstorming pro tours lost or badly recorded. Overall a match score of 79–
63 in favour of Laver can be documented.
