上的阳台上，三个以色列青年学生用希伯来语在很大声的聊天，扰民啊。离开旅馆，步
行二十分钟，来到了地中海边。地中海是世界上最大的陆间海，形似湖泊却具备海洋的
特质；一排排白浪前仆后继的拍打着蜿蜒的海岸线。因为历史上做过港口，这一段海岸
线都被垒起的大石头加固过，石坝外侧贴着海水的部分依然是沙滩。沿着海岸线，有一
条步道通往雅法古城。大清早的，不少市民在步道上慢跑、海里也有人抱着板下水冲浪
。很远就能望见雅法城那依山势而建的白色建筑群，顶上一个塔楼高高矗立，俯视着这
片海域；往前一点还有一个立在海边的塔楼，和顶上有十字架的最高塔楼不同，这个的
顶上是穆斯林的月牙。走到雅法城下，回头可以望见依海岸而建的特拉维夫新城，高楼
基本集中在海岸一线，基本全是旅馆。拾级走上古城中心的山丘，游客中心还没有开门
，小石头山上空荡荡的，一个人也没有。城下沿海，有几尊炮的雕塑，讲述了几千年历
史里、各种势力对港口的反复争夺。
八点，找出租车去新城Avis的租车点。司机说我不认得路啊，我只好翻出手机上的GPS

2.五年后取出（比如买房），是否会损失利息？

，犹太人的节，rosh hashanah。我有点不能理解，为什么一个“少数民族”要过节不
能上课，别的民族/种族的学生就要跟他们一起放假？christmas, columbus day,
thanksgiving， president day放假好理解，那些节是绝大多数美国人都过的。可是犹
太人到底不是社会主流阿，占人口比例那么少，又都集中在东北部，难道他们对全体美
国人的教育真的有那么大的决策权？
对于双职工家庭，学区这样安排还是让我们很不方便的。我查了一下american jew的历
史，1940s 年的时候大学里对于招jew into tenured professorship 还是很抵触的。
据孩子老师的说法，她们小时候，30-40年前，学校里不是这样的。美国其他地方的公
立学校都是这样的吗？想了解一下。 |

等不及把自己的i-485包裹给邮寄出去。而10月的一开始工作时间很有意思。一号是周
六，周一周二正好赶上rosh hashanah。所以，有人知道uscis是周二4号上班呢？还是
