什么的，或者生病。过了cut off day,我的答案公布了，她交上来了。我不接受或者给
低分，她就argue，每次浪费我很多时间，非常难缠。第一次考试，她没有参加，我还
专门注意了她没有来。结果考完她找我要成绩。我说你没有来考试，成绩零分。她坚持
说她考了，是我把她的试卷弄丢了。我问她考试的时候前后左右是谁，说出一个人，她
说她集中精力考试，不记得了。我又问班上其他同学考试那天谁看到她，结果没有人说
看到她。于是她向系主任反映说我把她的卷子弄丢了，要求给分。系主任问我情况，我
如实反映。结果她又向院长反映。后来没有办法，给了她补考的机会。
第二次考试，我要求每人交卷的时候在我提供的roster上签名。她参加了考试也签了名
。试卷一共四页。我改考卷的时候，发现她最后两页一点都没有做。于是理所当然把最
后两页划掉。最后两页的分数一共50分，她一分未得。结果试卷发下去，她坚持说她的
试卷没有最后两页，只有前两页。她说我发给她的试卷没有最后两页。最后两页空白是

1． 考试前一两天发一份打印的instruction for exam。把考试注意事项全写明(除
了你自己和前面几位朋友的建议，还有一点你要说明：在任何情况下如果你暂时离开教
室，学生不得交卷)。更极端一点的，可以让学生签字表明认真阅读了instruction。不
签字不给考试。
2． 考试开始时告诉学生有几页纸，几道题。把页数和题目也写在黑板上。要求学
生核对页数。如果有问题立即报告。声明如果当时不报告则交卷后老师概不负责。
3． 学生交卷时在roster上签字，你利用学生签字的时间检查页数是否完整。
4． 对可疑的学生，试卷批改要详细。注明扣分理由。如果留白，写“NO WORK”。
复印试卷以备核对。
5． 如果找到确实的证据证明学生作弊，从严处理，不要手软。
顺便再说几句：
1． 你们系里院里居然在这件事情上不支持老师的处理决定，简直匪夷所思。建议
你找个新的学校。
2． 如果有学生要求make up homework/quiz等，你应该严格按你的policy执行。家

今天的课她讲得很耐心。310班上的学生一如既往地没精打采。提问时依然只有前排几
个学生积极参与，无论是多么简单的问题。为了让那些重要但略显沉闷的概念和公式生
动些，尹洋耐心地讲解了几个实际中的应用，几个坐在中间几排的学生脸上才开始露出
些许兴趣。发课堂材料（handout）的时候看着那些零零散散坐在最后两排的学生尹洋
忍不住说道，上次教职员工开会大家还讨论今后系里要不要多开些大课。她没有在学生
面前说出自己的想法（她也没有在开会的时候发表任何意见），她认为这样做不好。
这个班就是个很好的例子。这门课每个班原来只注册40个学生，这个学期增加到60。她
象以前一样教，可效果差很多。考过两次试，学生走（drop）了不少，名册（roster）
上只剩下40个人。现在每次来上课的也就二、三十个人，有的学生总喜欢坐在最后两排

，没有试卷，学生说考了我没给他分数，说我把卷子弄丢了。现在我的作业和考试全部
电子化了。作业通过学校的online system交，考试的答案也通过online system交。如

不用跑。
下次你教课作业多给点分。我的作业都是选择题，我判得哗哗哗。然后作业我看到他们
交了就给分。每次交作业给1分。一学期作业占15分。
不过话说回来，这个学生超级流氓，居然对你说要在feed back里说你不公平。。。还
敢在课上公开argue开闭卷。
我觉得你现在即使对他妥协给他加分也不合适了，因为那样会有更多人给你找你加分。
那个online quiz我觉得晚一个小时没有问题。我有的学生课中间走了，过几个小时给
我发邮件，说不好意思上课的时候肚子疼跑厕所了待了很长时间，忘记交作业了，给你
扫描了作业，可以算分么？这种我都给分啦。
期中期末时间我们这里是规定一定要写进syllabus里的。到底开闭卷也一定要写到
syllabus里。
我觉得你现在就不理这个学生就可以了，冷处理，也不较劲。
总之，教课就两个原则：1，怎么省时间怎么来，我考试全是选择题，然后用scan tron
判。2，别得罪学生，要让他们觉得你care他们，尊重他们。我向来第一周后就把学生

，你投的study section最可能是你那个circle里的人最常投的同一个。
无数人的经历表明，投到一个roster里面一个都不认识的陌生study section，基本上
就是kiss of death
个例当然有，不过没有讨论的意义。比如你新开一个方向，作为新人进入某一个领域，
只能是碰运气投与之相关的适合section |

从回帖可以看出来，我们华人faculty对于开会social的态度有三种：1. 开会就是去
social的；2.也想去social，但是不知道怎么办；3. Social顺其自然，自身武功过硬
是王道。
这个可能不同的领域中的习惯不同，比如我记得老李以前说过，今天MVPYao也说了，他
们领域去开会的目的就是刷脸，提高visibility，这样才能够拿到钱。作为苦逼小领域
的一员，我说说我的感受。
苦逼专业的faculty基本都是从Ph.D和postdoc一路走过来的，圈内人的认识一些，往往
是通过自己的导师认识的，小萝卜头时代，也无人注意无人关心，因此也实在说不上什
么social，再加上国人普遍并不擅长social，不如老美认识不认识的，拿起一瓶啤酒就
可以开聊的不亦乐乎，瞎扯一气。我们国人往往并不擅长，见面寒暄几句往往就没有了
下句，场面一冷，双方都觉得意兴阑珊，只得转头再找聊天新的聊天对象。据我的观察
，老中们开会往往就是这个模式，再就是跟认识的国人聊起来没完，但往往国人都是铁

发帖数: 322 | 16 两年前开始做的一个方向，现在做完了结果挺不错的，投了两篇文章和一个grant。一
篇文章review comments回来，两个人很positive，一个人不仅negative，甚至说极端
rude，细细看了看，发现我们的主要结论和第三个reviewer的一篇过去的文章结论相左
（这个人暴露他的身份是因为comment里面要我们cite他过去的一堆文章，相关或不相
关的）。暂且叫这个人H吧。
Grant回来后no score，还是两个reviewers很正面，第三个很糟，最让我崩溃的是第三
reviewer在grant里给的comment居然和之前paper的comment一字不差（没错，一字不差
），搞笑的是H还不在reviewer panel roster里面。仔细研究了这个panel的名单，发
现H居然是一个panel member的前同事，两人有过两位数co-author的文章。很显然是这
个panel member把我的grant寄给了H（totally unethical）。
现在有些进退维谷，当然不想放弃这个方向，但H在这个方向还颇有影响力，不知道如
