southward.
"Those lineages are not found in the north anymore," said Tackney.
The researchers also say this bolsters a theory that the earliest Native

内容提要：在中国社会经济史学界，“加州学派”近年来影响日益扩大，其观点正
变得日益清晰和引人瞩目。“加州学派”并不是一个无差别的整体，而是不同国别、不
同研究领域、不同方法 论背景的学者的聚合，他们既有相似的理论诉求，又各自发掘
着独特的研究思路。“加州学派”关注中国研究是要在一个更加宏大的全球视角中看待
中国问题；他们 强调中国经济曾经有过的发展，是为了去除中西二元对立，揭示出中
国历史独特的发展逻辑；“加州学派”未来的发展尚未确定，为其下定论还为时尚早。
“加州学 派”现有研究成果大多向15-19世纪集中；宏大的历史视角和单因素比较使其
历史叙述稍显粗糙；新的研究范式难以置换已有的研究结论。因此，他们的观点经 常
受到学者的质疑。国内学界和“加州学派”所进行的中国社会经济史研究各有价值，应

克罗普西(Seth Cropsey)是前美国国防部副助理部长，现任哈德逊研究所海军分析中心
