smoke when I cook steak in my oven. Plus even if it is smokey, can't you
just close the oven door and let the smoke settle down inside of the oven?
I recall someone posted a stove top smoking method. Can you try to use the
same method to contain the smoke?
Did you rub anything onto the steak before you cook it? If so, did you use
anything that may contain sugar? |

及，房子又是安静的 cul de sac，就下单了。
结果remodeling 一做就是两个月，还不算搬进去后陆陆续续接着做的projects 。这期
间LG在国外出长差，一个人前前后后跑断了腿，费尽了心，酸甜苦辣这里就不提了。
家里的装饰和整理都没完成呢，为了支持活动，捡几块能见人的地方，简单讲讲、分享
一下吧：
（一） Living room & Dining room
拓平地面、请进阳光
before －
房子本身还行，保养收拾得干净整齐，说实话也算是 moving－in condition，只是比
较旧，设计是八十年代的感觉。step－down 的客厅和餐厅给人感觉把房子弄的东一块
西一块的，深一脚浅一脚的，加上采光设计不好，窗子都开得小小的很吝啬，走进来给
人很不通畅很不透亮的感觉。

把地面抬高，开几扇新窗，拓宽patio 门，增加 high ceiling 的高窗

（六）给LG的 mini wet bar
before －
楼梯有个锐角转弯，那个小角落什么都不做也挺好，可房子原来在这里设计了一个
mini wet bar，小也罢了（只有15寸深），弄得不好看也不实用，sink 大了还是横着摆的，柜子被前房主当杂物柜用了十年。
构想 －
想过全拆掉，contractor 也建议把水龙头封掉不要。可是地上的 granite 是围着这个
bar 铺设的pattern，而且一直通到大门，是房子里唯一保留没有拆掉的一块地面，用
的是 black galaxy 和一种点缀的小红砖。如果改了wet bar，地面也需要重整，很烦。
况且，LG倒不介意有个小小的bar，而且既然是 bar，就应该保留 sink。
所以决定倚着原有尺寸，再做一个好看一些的 wet bar。实用就不太奢望了，因为我一
直觉得大多数家里的 wet bar 都没多少实用价值。

首先选橱柜。因为背靠楼梯，只能做base 的柜子。标准橱柜是24寸深，wine rack则一

something or lay on the ground if rug is too big. mix laundry detergent and
water, spray on the rug, rub it with a brush. thoroughly rinse it, I mean
