A trusted source told me that the RX100m4 with much larger Four Thirds
sensor manages to have the same weight of the RX100m3. And the size is just

Dpreview tests the A7rII and RX100m4 Eye AF: “has far more accuracy than a
DSLR!”.
Their conclusions are rather impressive:
1) A7rII with adapted 50mm Sigma EF lens: In fact, it’s this accurate phase
-detect AF that allows the a7R II to focus the Sigma 50mm F1.4 lens with far
more accuracy than a DSLR. We have to microadjust F1.4 primes all the time
on DSLRs to get accurate focus out of them, and even then, peripheral AF

What we can “hope” to get on April 23 (RX1-X and RX100m4?)
"Sony has a scheduled press briefing on Thursday April 23. And Wikileaks
hinted that new RX and A7 and A6xxx cameras would be announced within April
and June. So far this is what we can hope to get soon:
To be announced on April 23?
– RX1-X camera (specs unclear but likely a FF camera with 35mm f/1.8 Zeiss
lens).
– RX100m4 (20MP Four Thirds sensor camera with 4K recording)

UPDATED: A trusted source said he “heard” from Sony that they are “
working” on a new RX1-X camera. He has no specs to share yet and also didn
’t get an announcement timeframe. It’s yet unclear if Sony will launch the
RX1-X or/and the RX100m4 on the Sony World Photo Award event on April 23.
Speculation:
This could be the first Sony FF camera featuring the new curved sensor. Sony
Patents already disclosed that camera featuring a fixed 35mm f/1.8 lens.

chip, which combined with a new processor and RAM combination is what
enables the new high-speed and slow-motion capabilities. The RX100 IV is
also capable of shooting 4K video up to five minutes in length. Sony says
the 960fps video is approximately XGA resolution (1280 x 800), while the
480fps is 720p HD, and the 240fps mode is 1080p full HD.
