凭什么要尽职替我投资。
象Buffet那样的人，地上掉几百美金估计都不一定有心情拣起来。我花多少钱可能让他
坐在办公室里替我投资？事实上，头脑稍微清醒一点，就可以认识到，这样的情况是不
可能出现的。大部分fund manager并没有多少水平。他们能管理很多资金，靠的是公司
的牌子。比如Goldman Sachs，至少我认识的fund manager我并不觉得他们水平比我高
（或者说，我根本不觉得他们有什么水平可言）。靠着Goldman Sachs的牌子，他们也
能管理很大规模的资金。反正给客户一个懂行的假象就是了。真正会炒股会投资的，谁
有心情坐在办公室里朝九晚五，每年拿几天可怜的假期？能接受这样的生活的人一定能
比我强？对此我打着问号。

会实实在在创造财富的。我做了一件衣服社会上就多了一件衣服。而华尔街那些什么
Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs 的， 他们是干什么的？就是把钱从一个人口袋里转
到另外一个人口袋里，钱还是那些钱，对社会产生了什么东西，除了对公司自己，对其
他什么人作出了贡献？你不管那些石油公司多少黑，至少我加的油时他们提供的。就算
街上卖毒品的人，拍色情电影的人，至少也创造一点东西的。
现在人人，特别是亚洲人，都抢着去做那什么Investment Banker， 什么Quant, 那你
想过没有，谁来研究人类的未来，生命的意义？ 要是柏拉图，孔子，牛顿，爱英斯坦
，这些人也都整天想着怎么进Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, 每天想着今年Bonus是
七万还是八万，买个MP3 Player 是什么牌子，世界还会有今天吗？
以上的那些钻破头皮上Law School的人也适用。
这一点我倒是很佩服美国学生，很多人觉得受不了华尔街和Law Firms 的 Ethics. 而

，参加过校队football或者wrestling, 成绩比起亚洲nerd们差很多，但是social水平
很高，见多识广，有人脉有长相。这些人22岁本科毕业去什么goldman sachs, morgan
stanley, jpmorgan做analyst, 要么 mergers & aquisitions 要么 sales and
trading. 以后可能去读一个harvard mba, 也可以不读。最后自然升到VP, Principle,
Managing Director, 几十年后可能就是下一个goldman sachs senior executive或者
总裁， 也有不少自己建立一个fund.
这些才是正真华尔街的career path, 才是真正的华尔街精英。 这些人靠什么？靠的是
什么monte carlo simulation, 什么 pde, 什么 C++ ? 错了，这些人靠的是他们anlgo
-saxon或者jewish背景，他们能说会道的能力， 从小熏陶的出来的 |
