白沙国家公园位于美国新墨西哥州，Chihuhuan沙漠的最北部的Tularosa盆地，世界上
最著名的自然奇观之一. [1] 而白沙公园里白沙的形成则是由于奥特罗湖几乎完全干涸
了，而钙和硫磺却留了下来, 这些矿物质形成了石膏岩(gysum). 在冻结和融化，潮湿
和干旱等自然力的作用下，石膏晶体最终破碎成沙子。在大风的作用下，沙子不断推进
，最终形成了我们所看到的白色的沙丘。
之前计划这次德州西部之旅的时候根本不知道新墨西哥居然还有这么一个地方，后来无
意当中在tripadvisor上看到有上千人对这个地方的一直好评，当时就决定把white
sand monument设成为这次旅行的第一站.
星期6出发，一天开了600多mi以后，星期日早上我们就开车从旅馆直奔传说中的white

如果有翻盖房子经验的朋友，每次City来检查的时候，必定有些紧张。如果房屋哪些地
方建造得不符合当地建筑code，city一定会让你返工重来。而今天Sand Hill在Main St
.的故事，一定会让你大为颠覆。
看看现有的Cupertino高楼，你会发现没有在路边拔地而起的。哪怕是S. De Anza Blvd跟
Stevens Creek Blvd交界的那个十几层高楼Cypress Hotel。也是接近马路边沿有一片
空地，然后大楼才像搭台阶一样，一节一节往后越来越高。这就是遵守库市建筑退让标
准(setback)的结果。而库市因为过去一直都市化程度不高，因而不光对楼高设限，也
对setback有严格限制。有了建筑退让规定，楼高相同的情况下，能减少单位面积高密
建筑物的容积，也是一种限制高密度，还有保持市容的手段。库市制定这些建筑标准，
是分几片来设定的。在Main St. 那里的建筑标准一直是盖1m高度，退1.5m，需要严格

前几天翻看报纸，无意中翻出了2009年的一段新闻。那是Darcy Paul在09年宣布参选市
议员的竞选宣言。其中一段话让我特别感慨：“Cupertino市一直没有真正意义的市中
心，因此Darcy Paul支持“古市主街(Main Street Cupertino)”计划.这个计划将在未
来，把17英亩原属惠普公司的土地打造成商业中心。”其实，何止是他，那个时候几乎
每一个听说Main St.改建计划的市民，都带着纯真美好的幻想，盼望着一个现代化商业
市中心降临在库市。这就是Sand Hill Property Company当时的推销广告里面说的。而
现在回头看到这个，是不是有一种前世今生的幻灭感？Sand Hill许诺的大型retail
center在哪里？我们只看到成片高耸的办公楼跟公寓房。
最早的时候，Toll Brother想来开发那片地，但因市民担心那么大面积的空地盖满房子
对城市冲击太大，搞了referendum给阻止了。之后Sand Hill来了，非常亲民，非常耐

面环水，且扼守在航道之中，拥有丰富的鱼种，像sand trout, whiting, croaker,
belt fish, red drum, black drum, sheep head, shark, mackerel, lady fish,
angle fish, flounder等等，且数量巨大，每天好多人前去钓鱼，带走很多鱼，然而鱼
好像越钓越多，吸引本地、本州甚至外州的垂钓爱好者前来一试身手，过足钓鱼、拉鱼
的瘾。
虽然那里就是一个天然的鱼窝，还是有很多人乘兴而去，败兴而归，如同我一样，那么
好的一个地方，第一次去居然只钓到一条沙鳟，悻悻而归。因为那里水下结构错综复杂
，遍布机关，好多人在那里丢下了大量的铅坠、鱼钩、鱼线等东西，更加剧了那里水底
的复杂状况。然而，越是这样的水底越是鱼儿的天堂
第一次是从一个钓友那里知道那个令人神往的地方，兴致勃勃地提着一根中杆，几
个铅坠、一包钩，一包虾，驱车60多迈赶到那里，绑好鱼竿后，随手一抛……挂底，郁

擦了地板才发现老婆sand的明显比我厉害，左边颜色很浅，右边很深。我们准备sand玩
apply清漆（在home depot买的)，不知道会不会掩盖一下？ |

，sand好几遍。
sand我是去homedepot租的工具，你可以网上查查怎么sand，总的来说就是需要sand好
几遍，用越来越细的砂纸，还要漆好几遍。 |

sanding paper，很明显stain也sand下来了，试了400grid的，没有明显掉色但是用纱
布一抹纱布上也有颜色。请问这是stain没上好还是因为poly上太薄了啊？还是stain或
者poly后等的时间不够长啊？第一次干这个，希望有经验的指教下啊

Melon Park就曾经sue过Sand Hill,
Sunnyvale downtown被折腾了十年，工地不断返工，人气大打折扣，
最近的还有Palo Alto Edgewood Plaza也在告Sand Hill:

last fall by suing Sand Hill, claiming original deeds to the center
restricted future changes to the site, such as replacing commercial

Sanding create a lot of dust, so it is very dirty.
刷墙 is very clean, which can be done anytime, as long as not the same time
as sanding (dust will stick to wet paint).
One advantage you have to 刷墙 first is you may not need to use drop cloth
if you plan to sand the floor anyway. |

umQdOq说的对，Random－orbit sander，or Belt sander.
不过你要外墙那么大面积的sanding，要考验你的工具质量了。 |

around crank/cassette and got stuck around lube/grease. I am worried about
them getting into bearings. I lubed the chain a couple times trying to wipe
things off, also trying to wipe sands off directly. Unfortunately there are

欢老家江苏清蒸做法，汤总是混混的。
这么大的sand trout, 和它打起来还是很过瘾的。这次也钓了几条SPEC，都不够尺寸，

现在比较犹豫，因为Memorial Day Weekend的星期天下午5点左右估计才能到大沙丘，
然后星期二下午四点在Denver的飞机。所以不知道应该是在Great Sand Dunes深度游，
还是第一天晚上夜游Great Sand Dunes，第二天白天再开去Black Canyon？Black
Canyon是开车穿过去就好，还是值得下来走走?请去过的朋友给点建议。谢谢大家 |

情况是这样的，刚打算签sand cove apt. 但是看到lease里面提到了这个区有prop 65
warning,因为含有asbestos 和 lead。我目前还没搬到加州，不知道这个prop 65
warning是在比较老的apt都能看到吗？还是就是sand cove才有？ 有点被吓到了。
住过sand cove的朋友或者了解情况的可以给点建议吗？ 先谢谢您了！！ |

when it comes to buying UGG's so if this isn't good please correct me. I

non-sanded grout （其实就是potland 水泥） try 了一下， 过好几天之后， 用手摸
一下， 手上都能沾上灰， 好像没什么强度似的。 这是不是水和水泥的比例用得不对
呀？ 用湿布擦一下， 也能擦下不少。 那这样怎么能挡水呀？ 过不了多久不就没了吗
？用手try了一下， existing没坏的grout， 没觉得手上有什么灰。 觉得以前的人弄
得挺好的呀？ 怎么我就不行呢？ 看了youtube 觉得挺简单的呀。 |
