从早到晚，只要是入了大小姐法眼的东西，都要在Santa那边挂个号。做B超放个美人鱼
电影，“妈妈，我要管Santa要一个小美人鱼的DVD。可以吗可以吗可以吗？”跟哥哥玩
了一会pokemon card，“妈妈，我要管Santa要两个东西，一个小美人鱼的DVD汗~~~有
一个真的Pikachu，Santa什么时候能给我啊？”去小朋友家玩了一会princess dress
up game，“妈妈，我要管Santa要三个东西，一个小美人鱼的DVD汗~~~有一个真的
Pikachu汗~~~~有一件princess dress，我的princess dress不够多。”
眼瞅着里圣诞节还有一个月，这个单子已经开到一里地外去了，荷包羞涩的肚皮娘只能

哪儿了。儿子自然说想。网上看了一下，哇，都到Canada了。赶快洗澡上床关灯睡觉，
要不Santa看见咱家亮着灯，就不进来了。小子以极快的速度洗漱完毕躺进了被窝。哇
，从来没像今天这样让偶省心过，暗自窃笑。小子在床上突然问我，能不能给Santa写
个Note，问个问题。要是Santa回答了他的问题，说明真的有Santa，否则就说明没有
Santa。看来人家已经对Santa有所怀疑了。偶赶快说可以可以。我就把你的Note放在给
Santa预备的Milk和Cookie边上。于是小子写了给Santa的Note，并为自己因为在床上写
字没能写得很neat感到抱歉。

Tucson的马甲）。Santa Fe是7座车，轴距比Santa Fe Sport 和 Tucson 长不少。
Santa Fe Sport 和 Santa Fe 根本就是两款不同的车。Santa Fe Sport 不是 Santa
Fe 的一个 trim。在 Hyundai 的产品目录上也是两个并列的 model。

和美国同事吃饭聊圣诞，才知道他们非常重视孩子写给Santa的信，想方设法满足孩子
的圣诞许愿。老板的儿子告诉Santa想要一个skateboard，还给妹妹要一个——五岁的
孩子已经会替兄弟姐妹着想了。skateboard容易买；让老板头疼的是女儿想要一根
magic wand，必须有真正的magic。老板遍寻不得。同事出主意说纽约时代广场旁边的
Disney Store有一种magic wand，用它朝店里的一面大镜子一挥，镜子里就飞出一个小
仙女，对孩子说一句all your dreams will come true。老板一听大喜，谢谢同事帮他
解决一大难题。
我一下子觉得美国人对小孩真是尊重。我们小孩逛商店看什么都想要，欲望无止境；我

现实派和梦幻派之分。
现实派：主张应该实事求是，以科学的精神让娃直面没有SANTA的事实真相。
梦幻派：认为童年回忆可贵，不必要戳穿美丽的“谎言”。
其实每到圣诞，SANTA这个不劳而获的家伙确实比较让人恼火---凭什么每年圣诞前夜躲
在CLOSET里卖苦力包装礼物的是他们悲催的爹妈，而第二天一早楼下圣诞树下的欢声笑
语和功劳总是算在SANTA他老人家头上啊？！
可是即使如此，我还是愿意选择不去亲口戳破这个美丽的“谎言”。即使被质疑（我家
7岁的老大曾经提出很多质疑，现在貌似又选择相信了），我也会像POLAR EXPRESS中的
大人那样告诉他们：只有相信（SANTA）的人，才会看到奇迹。不相信的（大人），是

，这种车想都别想。最近家中的老sienna不行了，开了近15万迈。看中了Nissan的
pathfinder和murano,但看网上对CVT批许很多，这车可靠性好象不怎样样。所以又看了
Hyundai的Santa Fe 和Santa Fe sport, 价格很低,，Santa Fe sport 才21k, Santa

要好久，HQ普遍快一些。
工资的话我HQ的几个同学都涨了，虽然不多，但是比Santa Clara强。
我的同学都是CS出身，都是软件方面的，但是Santa Clara貌似硬件是主流？
至于能不能学到东西，我就不了解了。

虽然我跟女儿说了很多次santa不存在，女儿还是问，我明白了，不是她不知道，而是
她希望santa存在或者希望有礼物，于是我改口说，santa存在，你想要什么礼物？
她说她想要一个练琴用的节拍器，我打电话给她爸，让他买一个，平安夜放在圣诞树下
。结果老爸接了女儿直接去乐器店挑了。
挑完还说，我一会给santa，让他今晚送来。
女儿就假装相信了。

两个房间共享一个浴室。厨房和客厅共享。现在空出来的是共享浴室的两房之一。房子
面积很大，采光也很充足。这个房间的房租是591.94$/month，是周边地区无敌的低价
。电费和网络费三个人分摊。
社区：非常安静安全的一个社区，绿树成荫。由于Santa Monica靠近海边，气温非常适
宜。周边的生活服务设施也挺全，Trade Joe’s, Rite Aid, 99 cent store, KFC,
McDonald，吉野家等等都能徒步到达。隔一条街就是一个绿地公园，每周六都有farmer
’s market,鲜花水果蔬菜坚果蜂蜜要多新鲜有多新鲜。

Clara is fine. Because there is lottery school (only for Santa Clara city
residents), Millikin elementary school (API 999 or 998). It is a very very
good school if you can get it in. Not like other schools in Mission or other
area, teachers do teach at school.Their teacher ask parents do NOT teach
kids at home "Let me do the teaching". My kid really miss the school.

我想那位说大片大片的停车场很荒凉的意思是Santa Clara相对来说比较空旷，只是相
对来说，其实跟其他地方的大城市周边地区木啥区别，对比SF和Santa Clara的COSTCO
，SF的COSTCO的停车场是地下的，FOOD COURT长条桌上基本人挨人，一个人离开一个人
填上，不要奢望自己旁边有空位。SANTA CLARA的COSTCO就跟大部分地区的COSTCO一样
，大片的露天停车场，FOOD COURT吃顿饭，大部分时间可以一个人独霸一个四人空位，
从来没见过像插针一样塞的满满的 |

发帖数: 6 | 39 今年三月初在Napa Valley跑了首马，3:21:38，离3:15:00的BQ还差6分多。因为早先就
报了年底CIM，想着就等CIM再冲击波马吧。不过CIM即使BQ也只能跑后年的波马。一个
更好的选择是跑Santa Rosa马，8月底，赛道比较平，BQ后可以跑明年的波马。但是由
于对自己的实力还不是很有信心，而且比赛前一周正好安排了去阿拉斯加的游轮出游，
参赛的话会非常赶，就一直拖着没报名。到了六月初，离比赛还有11周多点，想着如果
要跑SRM就得好好练了。就决定在周六跑一个14迈MP，如果成功就报名。结果周六一个
人跑了两迈热身，14迈7:20MP和两迈冷却。看来状态不错，不试SRM会太可惜，所以回
家立马就报了名。
训练还时和上回一样，跟18周的AM55，从11周切入。里程有时因为实在是时间不够会低
一些，不过速度训练有时会快一点。中间跑了个Jungle Run半马比赛，成绩1:31:19，
顿时对能BQ信心大增。训练一切顺利。很快就剩一周了，要去阿拉斯加玩了。这也是我
这次比赛的一个不确定因素。船上能练么？旅途中能休息好么？上船后得第二天（周日

Santa Clara只给了我Part-time opportunity. 因为他们的IP Law很好,我非常动心．
但是也有些不甘心，因为还是很想全职好好学习法律的。
就排名比较，Santa Clara今年七十多名， Pacific Mcgeroge九十多名。地理位置，我
希望毕业能在湾区工作，因此Santa Clara比在Sacramento的Mcgeroge好一些。ＩＰ法
，Santa Clara当然好得多。
另外，我对full-time和Part-time的工作就业并不了解．如果读santa clara part-
time,第一年后我也会转为full-time,并且在第一年的夏天补一些课，争取三年毕业．

查了一下4月份2010的销售排名, 这几款都卖的很好.
当然Rav4和CR-V是头两名,但是这两款都是被老婆以外观一票否决的原因彻底排除了.
Ford Escape 也是因为样子的原因被自己排除.
剩下来的主要在 Equinox, Santa Fe, Terrain里选择, 其中 Terrain的价格稍微高了
2000
多, 所以有点不是太情愿, 所以比较偏向前两者.
Equinox: 22/32 mpg, Starting: 22K, Warranty 3年/36,000 miles, Dealer那边
不是那么好讲价, 因为这款卖的很火. 这款耗油感觉非常好, 同样是4000多lb, Santa
Fe没这么
省油.
Santa Fe: 19/26 mpg, Starting: 21K, Warranty 5年/60,000 miles, Dealer相对
好说点, 因为比Equinox卖的慢一些.

购买时主要对比了Nissan Rogue。Rogue比Santa fe 低一个等级，但价格基本一样。
Rogue的CVT变速箱感觉很不好。一加速噪音巨大，提速也不快。
rogue的内饰塑料感很强，如果做0% finance plan，没有什么降价空间。
Santa Fe最后大概砍下来3000块。内饰水平比Nissan好不少，空间很大。我买的3.5 GL
Sports AWD，半皮凳子，似乎比全皮感觉还好一些。带天窗，相同价格，Nissan只能
买到布凳子。
Santa Fe有不少方面都是高档车的设计，当然不是说Santa Fe本身是高档车。开车门有
地灯照路，坐在座位上之后，钥匙孔有背光，黑暗中很容易找到，前后玻璃都带除霜、
雨刷器，车内有很多类似于日本车的小储物隔的设计。6前速手自排一体变速箱，3.5L
V6全铝发动机，高速上超速动力澎湃。车厢内很安静。
唯一不知道的就是这车长期开质量如何。 |

我买过2013的edge，后来被那个傻逼sync系统搞烦死了，刚好dealer在贷款上叽叽歪歪
，要提升APR，于是退了。
然后换了2013 santa fe。。开了1年多啥毛病没有，自带的系统本码农也很满意。
我的价格参考，时间是12年年底：
2013 Edge awd sel, MSPR 37XXX, OTD 32XXX
2013 Santa Fe Sport AWD, MSRP 32XXX, OTD 31XXX.
具体配置差不多，edge有天窗，不过我在西雅图，没鸟用，santa fe有前后加热皮椅，
是ventilated的。
动力方面edge感觉要好些，毕竟是V6的，santa fe是2.4的，190马力，不过平时开起来
感觉也够用了，而且我比较舍得踩油门，基本加速都在5K到6K转。
做工方面棒子好不少，你自己找俩对比对比就知道了。美国车糙的毛病还是没变，我那
辆就开了一周，结果驾驶座下面的一块塑料cover就自己掉下来了，我啪一下就按回去
