four-game suspension under the league's substance-abuse policy. It's
presently unknown whether Holmes tested positive for a prohibited substance
or committed some other violation of the policy, such as missing a required

Apparently tired of Santonio Holmes’(notes) history of off-field problems,

Pittsburgh Steelers have traded the wide receiver to the New York Jets,
according
to Pro Football Talk.
Sports Illustrated is also reporting that Holmes is now a Jet.

NEW YORK (AP) -- A person familiar with the deal says the New York Jets have
acquired wide receiver Santonio Holmes from the Pittsburgh Steelers for a
fifth-round draft pick this month.
The person spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because
the teams had yet to announce the trade Sunday night.

估计是看到mike wallace有足够潜力。另外antwaan回来的时候就说自己不是回来
return的
并且估计知道了内线消息，候三通案子比较麻烦
但是就算这样，还是非常亏啊，当初三通是一轮秀
估计鲁尼家族杀机给猴看，告诉大本，再搞连你一起换

因为手里拿着这个黄油手，就去做功课，看到些有意思的：
1. funny thing is Holmes had more drops per receptions last year I believe
than Braylon (VIA ESPN btw)。
Proof => PFF says Holmes had 8 drops in 79 catches Edwards had 35 catches
and 4 drops.

2. I'm going Braylon. Even with his drops the guy commands a lot of
attention. you can't risk leaving him in single coverage because he'll blow
right by you. Whether or not he'll catch it is a different story...

It has been a while since he was relevant on the field. There always seemed
to be some story about his injury rehab or something else, but no production
. Over the past two seasons he had 43 catches, 728 yards and two touchdowns.
It wasn't a big surprise when Holmes got cut on Monday.

Santonio Holmes missed several catches due to the slippery field.
On the other hand, Ron Turner did come out with a very good offense plan,
lot of screen plays were deployed against Steelers' aggressive D, and
very successful. Both Jay Cutler and receivers did a good job. |

still too young, and too many one vs all by WB on the offensive end.
Defensively, Perkins should get less time as his slowness is killing OKC's
team defense against Spur's quick guards and bigs.
However if they sit Perkins, santonio will go to TD/屌 more often, and this
will open up 3s.

Bobby Carpenter: High 4.5’s.

非常失败的trade，Holmes今年工资0.77M而已，港人06年1st round draft,培养了4 年
，在价值peak得时候送人了。
这么做的原因无非是港人很要面子，不希望捣蛋分子，可是职业橄榄球运动员都是这个
素质，按这个标准James Harrison, Reed都开了得了。
Ben怎么说，一样性质的错误。Franchise QB所以姑息了？损失个把球星是小，球队政
策的inconsistence是大。估计主教练在这件事上没有发言权，陆尼不爽，所以送出去
了。从另一方面说明Tomlin的失败,镇不住场子。在WR唯二的首轮(Holmes & Burress)
，都因为场下原因白送给纽约人民了。Wards下滑的明显，Wallace 太嫩,这下WR又成窟
窿了，Ben估计会给个队内停赛若干场，做个样子。 |
