发现google scholar要比isi要多很多
数学方向的文章 google scholar一篇有25， 一篇有6 基本上都是他引， 只有一篇是
以前的老板和别人写的
到了isi 就只有13 和 1 了， 真悲催。
仔细看了一下 google scholar有些是中文引用 有些是preprint, dissertation, 还有
不少是arXiv 和 mpra的不是peer reviewed journal上的
可如果把这些都去掉 引用数又很难看了。。
大家有什么建议吗？可以就直接用google scholar上的数字吗？
另外，除了google scholar 上 my citation的summary外，需要把google scholar上所
有引用的文章的list全打印下来吗？
考古看到有的贴子上说 还需要把别人引用文章的first page, 还有提到的名字
highlight, 以及biography都打印下来。。。真的要打印的这么全吗？

发帖数: 159 | 5 最揪心的就是引用这块了。有几个问题请教，请求达人释疑：
1. 必须是independent citation吗？ 有人说必须剔除自引，否则必遭RFE，对吗？本
人引用不多，英文引用Google Scholar只显示83次，加上google遗漏的11次引用，所有
加起来英文引用只有94. 自引比较多，18次，如果剔除，就更难看了。
2. 在PL中，citation数字需要很详细的介绍来龙去脉吗？能不能在PL中只是笼统说一
下总citation （142次），具体的数字和由来放在Exhibition中列表详细说？
我现在有好几个数字，自己都觉得糊涂：
83：（google scholar）
94: (google scholar + 遗漏)
76: (google scholar + 遗漏 - 自引） （Independent citation from English
papers）
48：（中文文章引用，自cnki）
142：Total citation （中文文章 + 英文文章citation合计）

My boss only wants to give me the title "Visiting Scholar".
As I understand, Visiting Scholar is often not salaried and typically for

对于Goolge的使用， 好象不用俺老大费太多的口舌了吧？ 若是连Goolge都不会使，趁
早回家抱孩子去。
唯一值得俺老大提醒的是， Goolge或Goolge Scholar都得查一下， 有时Goolge
Scholar查不到的， 在Goolge反而有意外的惊喜。 用Goolge或Goolge Scholar查最好
是直接输入文章名，用作者名字查太麻烦， 比如查俺老大的中文名就会查出无数个武
侠小说来。 在你所输入的文章下会明确告诉你被引用次数。 点击这个引用次数， 会
将所有的引文列出来。 Goolge或Goolge Scholar的缺点是其引文格式长得太丑，令人

New! Google Scholar Citations open to all
可以去注册一个账户（必须是research institute的Email），把自己的文章添加进去
。甚至是一些国际会议的abstract都能在上面找到。一般来说Google scholar统计的引
用数比ISI高一些。
以前总是有人抱怨Google scholar看起来很难看，现在这个Google Scholar Citations
基本上可以把这个意见给推翻了。 |

，会有重复citation（比如作者在自己网页给出asap的pdf文档，google scholar就会
算上）。非正规出版物看上去像论文的google scholar也算上了。你这种情况最好检查
一下，挑一篇citation次数差别很大的文章，仔细看看google scholar究竟多了哪些
citation，心里有数。 |

Scholar不够权威。大家是用ISI还是Google Scholar？
顺便问一句，ISI里面可以把自引去掉，所以很容易算独立引用。Google Scholar貌似
没有这个功能。不能1000个引用一个个数吧？

昨天的TSC的一个RFE 有件非常有意思的事情， 我们一直都知道有些IO会去自己去用
google scholar查询同学们的引用的，以前很多例子都说明过这个事实。 不过这样的
过程有时候也会搞出一些乌龙，就是在google scholar里面输入申请同学的名字时候，
出来的会是同名的别人的google scholar。 要是排第一个的不是申请人，而是别人，
而又不巧的是那个人的citation 少于申请同学的citation, 这个乌龙就出来了，大蜜
看了也是觉得搞笑。 不过笑归笑，他也说明了创建一个好的 google scholar account
的重要性，希望同学们能够重视自己的这个account.

google scholar profile包含着不是他/她的文章, 说明这些人不去仔细管理自己的
scholar profile. 所以, google scholar的citation, 不象web of science那么严谨.

情况：
1、有的引用是重复的，比如说同一篇文章引用了我的一篇文章，html网页形式和PDF形
式各算了一次引用，其实只能算一次引用的，这种情况如何删减呢？
2、有的引用是错误的，比如说Google Scholar My Citation搜出来有一篇文章引用了
我的一篇文章，实际上在其参考文献列表中并没有列我所发表的文章，那么这一次引用

3、有的引用应该添加，比如说有一篇文章明明引用了我所发表的一篇文章，之前用

如果要区分自引他引, 最好也一个一个核对
然后设为公开
这样IO查也只能查到你维护的帐户
如果碰到像大蜜说的查到了重名人, RFE把自己的帐户地址link给IO就好啦
我是直接打印我维护好的google scholar帐户, 上面附有link的. IO看到这个就知道去
哪里查, 查不到别人的.
建议关掉自动增加publication的功能, 让google scholar想增加一篇publication都发
信询问, 万一google scholar笨把别人的文章自动加到你的帐户里, 被IO抓到就惨了.

发帖数: 10760 | 27 大家准备材料时经常需要把引用文章打印出来，但是很多文章虽然Google scholar显示
引用了自己的文章却下载不到原文，很多数据库即使学校也没法免费下载。最近发现
reddit scholar十分好用，在上面求文章几乎几个小时就有回复，而且台湾的、韩国的
都能求到，几乎无所不能，强烈推荐！
具体做法如下：
1. 去Reddit scholar（https://www.reddit.com/r/Scholar/）注册账户.
2. 先用右边的Library Genesis database查一下。这里其实已经可以查到大部分文章
了。如果没有的话继续3。
3. 点右上角的“Make a request”按钮发帖子请求。Title就是“[Article] xxx”，
text里面写上url。
4. 等上几个小时，一般就会有人回复提供下载link了。这时可以在原帖那里点“nsfw
”将其标记为FOUND，然后回复一个Thank you啥的。 |

我现在是J-1 visiting scholar,来美交流的国内生物PhD。学校药学院有一个
Regulatory Affaris 的master program，且是only part-time and web-based，不会
提供任何签证和奖学金。觉得应该可以在业余念一个master。遂询问了学校OIE，结果
OIE的负责人回复说："This is prohibited while you are in the U.S. as a
research scholar. The Department of State sees this as a change in your
primary objective for which you came to the U.S. as a research scholar."
我看到有前辈说博士后期间可以念master.为什么这个visiting scholar身份part-time
拿学位也是被禁止的？这个跟签证没有关系的啊，也不会影响日常的visiting的工作。

找世界各国（junior）visiting Scholar（Media Studies/Media History/Media and
Stock领域） 的机会
还没有拿到博士学位，目的是想多认识些同行，同时帮我看看写的博士论文，给提些修
改意见。
去做visiting scholar 就是做研究，写论文写书的。
如果是美国和英国的话，可能会申请到scholarship,不过不到一个月马上就deadline了。
别的地方我可以去给代代课，如果学校或者系里愿意付钱.
大概2011年6月以后才有空去做这个visiting scholar,所以现在可以切磋了解，看看我
是不是合适，互相帮忙。
我基本上除了睡觉就是干活，写东西，改东西。

期的两年后才能进入美国，还是说两年后才能通过sevis系统申请发ds2019表格？
问这个问题的原因是因为我距离上一次research scholar结束已经22个月了，那么24-
month-bar允许我的新的接收学校早于24个月派发ds2019吗？还是说甚至得等到第25个

问在到期前老板给我发新的DS-2019表，换成J1 research scholar 身份的话，我可以
不出境就一直在这继续干活吗？
我考古了一下，好像讨论其他类型的转换比较多，比如J2转J1，F2转F1等等，没找到关
于这种J1不同类别的身份转换。我这种情况是不是其实也类似的？我知道短期学者不能
延期，所以也有可能不一样。另外短期学者也没有什么12月bar和24月bar。

已经 waiver，所以不能直接在美国Change of J-1 status，
这样直接让当前Research J-1 program到期，然后回国。
能重新签新类型的 J-1 然后用新J-1 在新的非 Research 类Program，签回美国么。
我知道 Research Visiting Scholar 结束之后，无论是否waiver,1-2年内不能再用

发帖数: 49 | 42 如题，请问J1 short term scholar可以享受china-U.S.的treaty免联邦税和州税吗？
我的情况如下：
1）J1 short term scholar
2）就职实验室位于IL州。
3）4/26以J1入境，以前只以B1入境过两次。
我才问实验室财务部门，告知我的信息显示有义务交联邦税和州税。
我猜测有可能是以下某个原因导致我必须交税，请知情人士指点下。
1）不是从中国申请J1的，项目完后会回日本继续读书。
2）刚到美国还没满10天，还没申请SSN。
3) short term scholar不享受免税。。。

已经 waiver，所以不能直接在美国Change of J-1 status，
这样直接让当前Research J-1 program到期，然后回国。
能重新签新类型的 J-1 然后用新J-1 在新的非 Research 类Program，签回美国么。
我知道 Research Visiting Scholar 结束之后，无论是否waiver,1-2年内不能再用
research visiting scholar。但是这是换个J-1类型的，规定不清楚。 |

scopus我看还有一个web tab，不知道那里边的是否算数。
我的律师说就把搜索结果直接打印出来，不要自己做任何edit，
这样显得authentic。我觉得也有道理，不过这样确实是
乱七八糟的，Google scholar打印出来格式也不好看。。。

，是google scholar没有的，所以综合两个网站真正的引用次数是60，能不能以这个数

发帖数: 787 | 50 以前有个大侠曾经指点过我怎么搞google scholar查自己文章的被引用情况，但不知道
怎么回事，我在今年2月以前的发贴和回贴记录许多都找不到了。所以具体细节我已经
记不清了。不过还是想抛砖引玉一下，给大家点线索。另外建议大家考考古，或者去精
华区找找看，应该能有不少发现的。
首先进入google scholar，然后选择Advanced Scholar Search，在这里你可以加入限
制条件，这样你所找的大多数文章都是你的了。然后，你可以把所查的结果存在你的
gmail账号下My Citations里，这个citation list就可以给出你文章及引用的具体细节
，还会给你总引用数和h-index和i10-index。你也可以通过编辑来去掉不属于你的文章
，或者加上你的文章，或者纠正错误什么的。具体细节大家就自己去挖掘吧！我就记得
这些了，不好意思的说。 |
