车子是一个朋友在开，在WB SE 8th st @143 rd pl SE,车速28. 那个地方好像speed
limit是25？ 说是“The school speed zone is fully posted with school speed
limit signs indicating a 20 mph speed limit when warning lights are flashing
or children are present.” 朋友是外州过来的，不熟悉路，根本没注意到那里有什
么Warning Lights, 说实话我开过那么多次也从来没有注意到这个细节。

根据GFSZ（请看附文），如果一个人没有CCW，即使一个州（如德州）规定车里也可放
枪，那如果这枪不是UNLOADED而且是锁在箱子里的话，那他/她只要车里有枪，而且
1000FEET之内通过SCHOOL ZONE，那就犯法了。在美国大部分城市，我想几乎很难
1000FEETS内开车不经过SHOOL ZONE吧？
当初我在HOUSTON ACADEMY买枪的时候，特意问了小二，小二没说要用箱子把枪锁起来
啊，所以当时我只是放在TRUNK里。而我在开车回家的时候，我肯定在1000FEETS 之内
经过了不少于一个的SCHOOL ZONE，那是否我已犯了GFSZ这个法呢？还是我知其一不知
其二？
还有一个问题就是，当联邦法和州法不一致时，我该遵守哪个呢？还是只能选择遵守严
格的那一个？请明白人请点一下（如果能引出法律条文更好），非常感谢！

这位大侠的sample更大一些。
我也是刚知道一个operating research 方面的，是 11万 entry；
看来在我的sample 里面，OR也是要低一些。。
我猜的哈，因为 OR 不是那种纯 finance 方面，比较偏
engineering方向；所以在 b-school里面，会比较低一些。
整体来说，因为 b-school的faculty 收入不是靠funding，
而是比较靠under 和 MBA 学生的tuition，另外一部分
好像还是靠毕业后成功校友的捐赠这些。。
我是工科的，所以相对对工科比较了解一些。
顺便扯一些工科；大家也可以看到一些 b-school和
engineering school的比较。。可能大家都是知道的，
权当我废话两句。
enginner school的faculty是要申请funding的。
因而他们的薪水一部分是学校给，另外一部分是从
他们自己申的funding里面拿，当然前提条件是能申请到
funding的faculty。。
所以从 funding角度来说，也就是说从薪水来源方面来说，

schools.
My son is 5 years old this year and is going to k. so we have to make up our
mind now. My home is not zoned for a good school, so we are either thinking
about this immersion program school or have to buy a new house somewhere.
Can you let me know the names of the schools that turn out well but have a
hard time in the first few years? especially the school that has to start in
a house?

听公司一个老移民说，要是有条件上private school还是要送子女上private school的
，对学生的attention不是public school可以比的。尤其到高中，至少可以把学生送到
比public school高一个档次的大学。
大家觉得有必要上private school吗？本来准备小朋友要上小学的时候搬到一个public
school从小学到高中相当好的学区去。那里的小学5所都是10粉，高中全州排名第一。
但想想是不是private school更能够发挥孩子的潜能呢？或是说public school靠家长
推，而private school就是学校帮家长推了，而且推得更有章法些？ |

(1) Elementary schools (K-8) (some classical k-6)
(2) High schools (9-12)
Chicago does not have middle schools, and the suburns have middle schools (6
-8).
All Chicago schools in the list are elementary schools, except for Young
Magnet High school, which has an academic center (7-8).

Lan Tech (4,192),Lincoln (2,163) and Whitney M. Young (2,234) 学校规模与许多
suburban HS 类似的.
