Most ceiling are done with 4x16 (1/2 inch thick) sheetrock.
Some edge area are done with 4x8 or 4x10 pieces (they used to a computer
software do design the layout first and ordered all pieces from HD)

onto wood with 2" coarse screws, the slowest bit speed(right before seating)
is in the range from 3000-4000 rpm depends which tool. Based on both
calculation and high speed video. It takes only ~0.3 sec to drive a screw(screw tip touch to seated).
Some higher speed drywall gun rated at 6000, they are faster.
Low speed gun (1000 - 2500 rpm) have double gear sets for bigger torque
application, such as deck.

then fold a second time (double fold). The fabric should line up in the

If it's not stripped too badly, try place a thin piece of rubber between
screw head and screwdriver.
Cut the slot on the stripped screw to fit a hex shaped drive bit.
Use a screw extractor.
If you feel lucky, use a tiny drill bit to drill a hole in the screw head,
then try to use a drive bit that fit it best to remove it.
Final solution, use the drill to drill through the entire screw. |

还要在接一个34-Feet的EdgeBoard。三块板要连成一条直线。由于
Joist Wood的自身缺限，保持直线几乎花了我们一整天的时间。
放最后一块17-Feet的EdgeBoard之前，又把所有的直角重新
确定了一下。建Frame的过程中用到了许多的Clamp来加固和CornerClamp
来确定直角。
有人问我用的是Nail还是Screw。我用的是8D Galvanized nail。Screw到
现在为止大概用了4磅。主要是用来连接两条长木板（Joist）用的。
关键部位用的Screw比较多。如果全都用Screw比较好。但是比较费时。
有人问我为什么选择做Deck而不是铺水泥。我喜欢出了Living Room不下
楼梯的感觉。铺水泥或者Paver需要一些专用工具。我没有PickUp，运输
是个大问题。而且铺水泥没有了WoodWork的乐趣。
有人问我如何保证土地不沉降。我的后院SitIn两年多了。走过一些比
较重机械。我用了比较多的Post。受力比较平均。颁发Permit的Engineer

图纸上面，从rear screw的眼到底边有1 9/16"，
从front screw的眼到rear screw的眼是9 1/2"，
也就是说front screw的眼到底边有11 1/16"，还得加上螺丝钉滑动的1/4"。
可是柜子的depth只有11"，怎么也没法装啊。
原来用的那个破抽油烟机两个眼之间好像只有8"左右，轻松fit in.
现在这个zephyr看来要么就退回去，亏20% restocking fee，
要么买个木条钉柜子外沿来extend depth，不过又担心这个木头不够结实，
回头还得油漆这木条，很郁闷啊。 |

default designed by Zephyr is to first screw the 4 long wood screws provided
by Zephyr to the cabinet bottom. Then lift the hood so that the the screws
are inserted in the 4 round holes on the hood and slide the hood back to
make screws sit in the rectanglar slots.

hole plus screw will be more efficient. After put on face frames and painted
, you will see no difference :)
Also kreg jig pocket screw can self square if your boards are cut square.
You will finish your shelf in matter of hours if using screws :)
But if you cut dadoes, cut the two side boards at once to ensure a
perfect match.
To avoid a lot clamping, I like to do the dadoes on a big piece first and
then do rip cut second. |

If you do not want to use brad nailer+ air compressor:
cordless drill/driver and impact driver+ trim screws (square drive)
I personally prefer trim screws. They provide better attachment and you can
use fewer screws. Also, it will be easier to remove in the future. The only
down side is that you need to predrill your trim and prepare counter sink to
hide screw head. |

我只模糊的认为screw 是方向相反的曲球,sinker 幅度比较小是这样
吗?我不知道
投screw 的MLB 现役投手实在没印象因为conventional wisdom 认为
这种球伤手
几个赫赫有名的投screw 的HOF pitcher Christy Mathewson: 他的
自传 "Pitching in the
pinch"提到他在紧要关头的拿手球路fade-away一般相信那就是最早
的screwball有人问他,既然fade-away 如此有效,为什麽不平常就拿
来用呢?Mathewson 回答,投这种球一次就伤他的手一次,所以他不愿
意多投
另外一个则是Carl Hubbel "The Meal
Ticket"很巧的,也是N.Y.Giants 的史上名投,算是Mathewson 的後生
晚辈

dust shield out but forgot to replace the screw.
here's the assembly on that end from the factory. there's a long m8 screw (
red) that goes through the plastic shield (green, which i don't think you
have), through the framing (black), through that "washer似的零件" (blue, the
friction plate, pink, fits on the round end) then threads into the axle (
hidden). without this screw holding everything together of course the
