近几年华工结构去了不少了，初步设计较多，象广州新电视塔、西塔等。听深圳的同学
说，
结构的待遇跟广州差不多，也就5、6k，不知是不是吹水。 ...

发帖数: 72 | 15 那个医院的内科面试官就是PD,我去的那天，他一上午面试20个人，给了每个人1-5分钟。
带我们参观的住院总印度女孩人很实在的，她说，如果打定主意想去那里的，面试后一定要做第二次访问，才能拿到prematch.基本上不要指望match.他们的scut work很多，住院医要帮忙抽血。很少有人能进fellowship，但是毕业找个工作不成问题。
别以为这个社区医院好进，人家虽然名声差，但是面试还是人家挑我们。 |

forgot who they interviewed and didn't make a ranking list.

For a lecture we say "3 hours" or "3 credits", which means 3 hours lecture
time per week. Time spending on reading, homework, preparation for exams is
not included.
For clinical rotations, "32 hours per week" is roughly the hands-on training
time. Time for other administrative tasks and floor scut is not counted. |

发帖数: 118 | 19 我觉得一个hospitalist不太可能管上百病人，我们旁边的私人医院一个hospitalist管
25-30个病人，在多会有奖金挂钩，而且有PA帮忙，没有scut work,护士非常配合。我
们学校的hospiatlist也很好，cap是20,有NP,resident和医学生帮忙，不用去急诊收病
人，大约1/5的病人是因为social issue无法出院的。每天是早8点到晚上5点，年薪17
万，虽然少点，lifestyle真的不错。当然俺们这里是小地方，估计大城市会更忙些。
一个晚上收15个病人还能忍受，我们做NF一般是10个病人左右。 |

has residence, but ask you to be on the teaching stuff. so you can have a
lot of help for free. but you need to teach on the other hand, this means
give leture, help with journal club, and in surgery, let the resident to
operate. this may take you some time, and slow you down some time, but you
get free help to take care of your scut, and have an buffer for call. it is
well worth it. it is a selling point for a lot of h |

Depend on who is the senior, and the program culture...here we have one
senior to one intern in a team. seniors
have nothing to do so some of them like micromanagements especially on
interesting cases. Of cause all the "scut
pages" go to the intern. I'd rather do calls in icu, at least all the pages
come with real issue to solve. Anyways, will
pass the pager to the incomig intern soon;) |

我觉得当senior心理上压力应该更大才对,毕竟要负更大的责任,另外还要教新兵.以前
自己一些知道一些皮毛的东西,要系统的过一下,再想想怎么教给别人.虽然scut work少
了很多,但是其他的工作量上去啦.另外我门还要给MS1/MS2的medical student讲课,再
搞点research project,零碎的活其实也不少.

resident's point of view, I'd never go for that
path if I have a choice. However, from PAs' point of view, they r happy

basics. But if you have not been US health care system before, this is a
great introduction. The sections for write-ups and oral presentations are

我自己买了一个最便宜的ipad3 （$499）.
从两年前开始，一路ipad1， 2 使用下来，感觉很好。苹果的软件选择真是别家没得比

Email， 上网， 用dropbox, evernote, CHM+, Kindle 看资料，viber, google voice
, skype 交流
, USA today, ABC player, podcast， nietflix， TED, this American life 和 60
minutes, 随
时可以听/看到， 用零碎时间了解美国文化和学习语言。
对我而言，相对laptop和smart phone，更喜欢IPAD3集下面三点于一身。

1. Know every faculty. Know what their subspecialty is and show your
interest in what they are doing by commenting on how interesting their work
is and how their work is going to have the impact on your practice (
theoretically) and how you want to participate in their clinial study (
simply doing scut work and seeing more patients). By doing this, let people

。对中国人很友好。教学attending好多都是yale的，没有scut work。往年没有问过临
床问题。工资不低，管午饭三年，吃的不错。

point yourself. I always keep a list of all the patient I see that day and
add scut to the list through out the day. Every night before I leave the
hospital, I go over the list to make sure all tasks are completel and also
order all the labs I need for the next day. If you keep doing the same thing
over and over, it becomes a routine and you are less likely to forget
things.

本人门外汉，废柴一个，但是感觉未来的走向是最终hospitalist的位置会大规模被NP/
PA顶上，短期内hospitalist是黄金行业但是长期最后要站稳脚跟不被淘汰还是做
specialist可能来的容易一些。
现在的hospitalist未来在NP/PA刚涌入的开始可能会经历一个无论是收入还是位置数量
的一个下跌，然后到了一定程度又会起来（极其缓慢地）。医院会倾向于雇佣有大量经
验的MD作为backbone，因为简单的case都交给NP/PA，所以MD的作用就是最后把关＋真
出状况了顶上，医院不会需要像现在这么多的hospitalist，但是雇来的肯定都要独当
一面的。所以感觉未来hospitalist未必有多少scut work要做，但是会压力山大，会
cover很多床。
anyway我个人觉得大的趋势是今后无论是hospitalist还是specialist都要等很多很多
年才能出头。
错了指正哈。。。俺还在学习中。。。 |
