偶然发现博士老板跟seach committee chair是校友好像关系还不错，
之前老板已经发过推荐信，请问这种情况下有无必要再催促老板给那个chair再发信或
打招呼重点再推荐？老板跟我关系还不错，我应该可以催促他这么做， 如果有必要的
话。

的。

于是有两个Phone Interview.
第一个Phone Screen跟Team Lead.C++ 的基本技术问题. 一个Web Page的Sampling
问题.一个如何比较两个String Array有重复String的问题.大约1小时
第二个跟HM Phone Interview.也是C++ OOP的基本问题.一个发现Linked List Cycle
的经典问题.另一个Sampling问题.问题不难,谈了40分钟就决定要On-site了.
On-site当天跟5个人谈
第一个人出了个Puzzle问题,也就是1到100个Door,第一次全关,第二次开2,4,6...,第三
次关3,6,9,...直到第100次为止,问最后有几个门是开的.第二个问题是写Depth First
Seach.
第二个人也出了个Puzzle问题.两个人分两个饼,A总是Cut.B有一个First Pick Option.
问A如何Cut才能得到最多的饼?一个典型的优化问题. |

化学PhD去大学里做staff的工作，管理仪器。
去年年底开始投简历，目前总共只有两个电面、一个onsite。
第一个电面比较悲剧，提前一天秘书给电话通知，没告诉我他们想用skype，结果第二
天上来要用skype，我当时反应比较慢，也没说明秘书没告诉我，告诉对方我没用过。
后来问经验的时候，也有做过的东西，没想起来，结果说没做过。最后自然是悲剧了。
第二个是先email联系我约一周后的时间电面，我给回信后，又告诉我committee在休假
，要等半个月再说。快到半个月我去问具体电面时间没理我。两天后确定了电面时间。
电面三个人，基本没有技术问题，主要问了一些以前的经验，我觉得回答的一般，不过
比上次好点。第二天收到邮件，通知onsite。
这是我第一次onsite，也是唯一的onsite。当时非常开心，也很认真地准备了，看了网
上一些回答问题的介绍。不过他们一直没告诉我会是什么形式，我还准备了ppt，结果
根本没有。当时飞过去，下午差不多5点到hotel，打开邮箱看到秘书发过来的schedule

但是第二轮傻逼了。 只回答了一个问题。题目非常简单，但是我理解错了，而且往稍
微复杂了一点的方向思考了。
思考的时候还跟面试官说了两种方法。结果他说这个可以很简单啊。 当时我脑子还在
那个胡同里，没想到是自己理解错了题目。然后我还挺自信，就说我先写吧。噼里啪啦
写完了。
最后要我写TEST CASE我也罗列了一堆。
最后他说我们来walkthrough其中一个testcase 看会不会fail。等他walkthrough完毕
，我还强调了一下说没有fail啊。很正常啊。然后突然跟被雷劈了一样，反应过来了。
说了句shit, I messed up your problem! 思考了30秒，花了3分钟改过来。 中间面试官
也笑了，跟我说没关系不要急。 但是时间已经过去了好多。后面他就跟我说没时间了，
让我问问题。
题目很简单，是比较两个binary seach tree是否有完全一样的value。根本不要考虑是
